No.I had a pretty high tolerance in my 20's believe me. And yeah I quit for about 2 months out of every year.
When you consider that cannabis has at least 113 different canninaboids isn't it possible that some of the strains from the 90's contained a better combination than the strains around today. Isn't it also possible that breeding THC up means that other canninaboids have gone down. Therefore altering the sound of the symphony
I like the Toffee crack/rainbow banana cotton candy/acai-wheat grass strain.Thats what a lot of “ breeders “ do … swipe a good strain offering from an actual worked line , put a little lipstick on it ( minor cross or just repack of S1 ) and give it a stupid foodie name or something.
Thunder lizard Tits
Toffee Cookie Crack
Or whatever.
There is a small breeder line ( forget name ) that ACTUALLY uses mephisto strains and cross it with some strain and call it a new one. SAD.
Darn it Who, I love your work and advice but how dare you breed out the head rush blast that is getting harder and harder to find.Sure you can.
I took the time to cross an original GG#4 with a real solid Bruce Banner pheno.
The whole Idea was to remove the "paranoia" some get from the uber potent old school GG#4. With the calming effects of the Bruce Banner.
While still holding the "stupid" buzz of the GG.
It took only popping 300 beans from the first cross to get several solid pheno's in from pheno hunting friends (and from my test run)
From these I back crossed to cubed and resulted in a nicely stable result. BRUCE'S MONKEY is simply an outstanding strain!
Hand picked clones are sold to certain breeders who request it from samples given out. Or to those who can pony up 1K for a certified hand picked clone.
Beans are not available at this time and I may choose to never sell beans. No decision on that yet.
2 have been gifted to specific friends who will NOT pass the strain along but, will refer you to me for it.
4 breeders of note have purchased clone stock.... All report real happy with the result's.
This was a "lucky" result, even if it was from carefully chosen breeding partners - AND having a real breeding goal!... It's hard to really get the winner, winner, chicken dinner strain from simple pollen chucking..
Accident's DO happen! After all, GG#4 was an accidental cross..
The strain is super popular with PTSD patients. THAT was the goal of the work!
It takes a few years but maybe if your stuff is good. For a person living in a US State where it's legal to grow for recreational purposes:
If a hobbyist managed to breed to the point where they had a stable hybrid plant and made feminized seeds, is there any way to legally make money from the creation? And, what would that entail? It seems like I read an article once that suggested it might be possible to patent cannabis strains. But, I don't know if that would be the approach to take.
If it is possible to make money from the new strain, what about the creators of the parent strains? Could there be circumstances where you would need to pay royalties?
Thanks!
Oh it's still got the rush. Just no fear/paranoia etc..Darn it Who, I love your work and advice but how dare you breed out the head rush blast that is getting harder and harder to find.
Folks want to become vegetables lol I get it but had to take a jab.
If you're only going to sell clones, is there any benefit of stabilizing the strain? Maybe for breeding purposes? When you cross a chucked F1 with a stable strain, can its offspring revert back to traits of the parents of the F1, or just the F1's phenotype? Like say I find an excellent pheno of a chucked cross and make it a mother. If I pollinate her, would her side of the offspring's genetics pull from the same genetic phenotype lotto that she pulled from, plus the genetics of the father? Or would it be reduced from pulling from only the phenotype of the mother plus the genetics of the father? Do you need stable parents to breed within the boundaries of the phenotypes of the parents? Or do instable parents breed beyond their phenotypes and into their parents phenotypes?Sure you can.

You need more Hindu Kush in your life bro
Hindi Kush is actually good. Malawi is another popular landrace I just thought of, but from my experience it negatively influences crosses. I has a cross of it with Gushers, and it produced the goofiest buds I've ever grown. One of them recently hermied and I had to chop it early. One of them has giant colas, but it's not even close to done and it's almost at 12 weeks from flip. I have a bunch of clones who are going to become overgrown if I wait for it to completely finish.
Oh my, now that's what I'm talking about, beautiful! Good luck with the grow
I haven't personally heard of this idea before. But, I could easily imagine that happening in the near future. I think you might really be on to something there. It's legal, for now. I expect with increased pressure on the federal govt to develop a legalization framework, the cannabis seed industry will come under increased scrutiny. Regulation is surely on the table as there are way too many people making money in the seed game for them to overlook that.
I'm storing genetics now with this in mind. We might actually see $100 beans if it becomes too restricted, and the only supply is from regulated corporate banks. Nobody except for the industry (also regulated) is going to want that stuff, so the good stuff will disappear underground.
I believe what we are living through right now may be the golden age of cannabis genetics distribution. Get em while you can and store well!
You forgot “ Super “I like the Toffee crack/rainbow banana cotton candy/acai-wheat grass strain.
Ultra mega cookie fire. But let's be honest Mike from exotic did put out orangutan titties as an actual name so nothing is off the table lmao. You forgot “ Super “
Rosy retrospection it’s called. Nice to see someone actually noticing it.Sugar doesn't hit me like it did in the 90s. Have you ever gone back and watched the cartoons or movies you thought were amazing when you were a kid? Some of them hold up, but most are hilariously bad.
