is it possible to grow a plant from a rooted stalk?

Ok, so i have a plant that was givin to me.
Its about 6 inches tal..
looks like it was around 3foot at the time it was cut.
I have nothing to lose..
I'm just needing to know if it will eventually sprout out?
I have seen roots grow branches on trees I'm thinking it will work similar?

I think I heard somewhere if you lightly scrape the bark and apply some hormones it will sprout.

I know that I have random small branches start growing close to the root end of the stem.

Good question though.

That's exactly were i was wondering about were the roots start out on the lower stalk.... it worked like that on the tree root.

I don't get the question. You have seen roots grow branches on trees? You have a rooted stalk but you want to know "where the roots start out on the flower stalk"? o_O

Do you perhaps have a picture? I'm not sure what you got to work with, does it have any leaves and branches left? If not, you could try and spray an auxin hormone solution on it.

I guess it's the second post that threw me off most. But in that case you already gave the answer. Cut the bark to and apply auxin to initiate a new primordia. No idea how effective it is in practice... sounds like fun to try though.

This causes tumor's and does nothing @ all to initiate a reveg....

If the stem is still alive it may sprout some branches but it's going to take a lonnggg time

Funniest shit ever I harvest some testers out in the early spring and I set the pot outside after I cut it latter that summer I saw some green in the pot and was like cool some weeds made a new home .
but when I looked down the girl had reveged herself! So I took her back in for sloppy second lol but it showed me how adaptable it is and a survivor keep in mind early spring in alaska is still quite cold and was definitely frozen

we can't really flower but we can veg a monster
there super resilient plants..dispite what most think.

I remeber hearing that the old original MTF would actually flower up here. This was before autos were really a thing

I think when you do a reveg your supposed to leave the bottom set of leaves. But idk forsure

You can! Its a loto work if you dont have an auto dark green house autos are an option
mostly indoor but I have had a plant in my woods here an there just to see an they love the sun but unless you start the dark EARLY you wont finish in time I got a few freebie auto's I want to try.
also I did usesd to bring my flowring plants out in the day but now I have.more neighbors:( The plant that grew was my grow trash lol
I didnt think it would reveg with 0 green yet it froze and grew lol

Yeah... i had no say it was kinda givin to me out of the blue.
I'm going to let it go for a month or 2 and see if it does anything, if so i will post pics.
i have no seeds or anything right now so it can't hurt.

I heard people had done it but it doesnt repond thr same as a Japanese apple pear

I have know clue why just what I read a loooong time ago lol im sure some one has but if it was awsome we'd all be doing it lol
also if it doesnt show a shoot try puting it in the fridge for few days then set it back out like mother nature would after a deer eats all the new growth off???

I tried a couple times a few years back but no luck....
I'm starting over from square one, so i have really nothing more then a cfl, stems and 2 seeds that prolly won't sprout.

police can really do damage and so can fucktards that call them.

This will\could work, but works better if there is even the slightest amount of growth remaining on the stalk. There is energy stored in the roots and stem, living cells which may attempt to differentiate into the cells needed to produce new leaves. These leaves will start out very small, but eventually grow into new shoots.
