is it possible to grow a plant from a rooted stalk?

The soil is crap to.


if i used room tepm water and dripped it on the current dirt,root ball would it hurt it?
I got some cocoa fiber to put in after the soils all washed away.
i couldn't imaging it hurting it..
my thought -more roots easier for it to regrow.

The thrive probably wont hurt but just keeping it moist with water I wouldnt try too many nutes till a shoot shows
just me.
