Is it pointless use CO2 in a non sealed tent ?

Basicly I have a 4x8 tent with ( 2 ) 600 watt HPS, 2 fans moving air around,
for heat and smell I have a 6 inch vortex
in a box outside of the tent and it is mounted on top of a 3foot tall carbon filter. Both electronic ballasts are also in the box, not in the tent.

Thats my basic set up and I would love to add co2 to my tent but with my 6 inch vortex constantly pulling air out of the tent
not to mention the air vents on the bottom of the tent for fresh air intake.

Is it pointless to use co2 with my tent set up this way???
I could easily make a co2 set up but it seems like I would be waisting my time.

Any thought on that would be great.:spew:

I have the same friggin question anybody ever tried running 1/4inch tubing around the plants and making holes strategically on the tubbing so CO2 is being pumped directly on the plants. I saw that guy who paints himself green on youtube doing that. Obviously you cant moniter levels nearly as well but u could test ppm's comimg out of a hole in the tubing and set it to say 1200 ppm and try to have them spraying on every plant during the lights on cycle. Would this be beneficial / worth it. A controller would be useful unless the tent is already pretty warm and with tents thats often the case. So please somebody more expirienced help us!

Ur tent sounds like mine. I got a 1000w and a 6in vortex. I duct taped the covers to the vents closed and ran duct from the top through my closed hood then out a hole in the back of my tent using the 6in vortex outside puling the air through. then set the co2 tank outside the tent and ran 1/4 tubing through a small hole in one of the vent holes (which I closed also) and stuck the end of the tubing to the back of an oscillating fan to spread it around.Temps around 75-82. Co2 actually will raise rh and help cool the tent. But ideal temps are around 75- 80. alittle more isn't bad but any higher then 95 isn't good. Hope that helps

So if i read this right you say you never turn off your ventilation fan and are constantly injecting CO2. Have u done a run without the co2 and then with and uve seen an improvement? And/or have u measured the ppms while your tank was running. And how long does your co2 tank last doing this. thanks

Yea ive been reading all ove the place and cannot find a definate answer about Co2 in a non sealed room........ive got a 8x8 rooom with a 6''fan constantly running when the lights are on....sucking on a cann........

So i guess there is no way to efficiently use co2 in a non sealed room???

Now he sealed his tent and ran the ducting through his air cooled hood from outside the tent. The air moved by the fan is separate of the air in the tent. This is why air cooled hoods are sealed and air tight - for CO2. If you simply wanted heat deflection adjust a-wing is there. Ya dig?

Someone edited there post or im on drugs...hmmm

Using CO2 in a non sealed room is just wasteful. The effect is not worth the time/money. Your money simply gets sucked out as soon as it came in.
