Is it dumb in last couple weeks to switch from 18/6 to 12/12?

Hey i have been running my autos on 18/6, just a dumb thought what are the pros/cons of switching them to 12/12 at this stage?

They are 10 weeks from germination. Breeder stated 10- weeks but incorporating the 3-5 weeks of veg i am thinking they have a couple more weeks still as they just are beginning to pull nutrients from the leaves.

Auto 18/6 from day dot to harvest day.

They're unaffected by light in the same way photoperiods are. It's a preset genetic switch to flower as opposed to light level switches.

Keep 18/6 you'll hurt final yield otherwise.

Also never read the label marketing bullshit same with THC and CBD %.

To get 18% plus is hard, everything has to be perfect, like everything. Same with flowering times they're bullshit too.

Good link here

Dumb? No but it would not be a good idea.

I run 20/4 on my autos and it works great. More hours of light the better.
I've heard alot of people running 20/4 over 18/6. All plants regardless of type need dark period due to natural processes and to transpire. What yield gains do you get from the additional two hours?

I've always done 18/6 personally.

Your overall DLI would be higher obviously but off set against energy costs is it also worth it.

To be specific, especially indoors.
Outdoors it's smart, Veg 20/4 until you run out of space then put it outdoors and finish when sun light goes down to 12/12.
