Is Cali Still Flooded?

Dan and DSM,

Thanks for the interesting harvest forecast. As you guys know, I run a 20K op in Ventura County and this time of year I get nervous. We've seen the same thing you guys have so far. I haven't had the price reductions or order cancellations I had last year...YET! Knock wood. We switched most of the grow to our best genetics (Tahoe x Chemdawg), even though it's our smallest yielder. We did this because last year it was the only thing that kept moving right through the fall. This year, I can move everything.

My attorney says that alot of the big outdoor ops set up out of state deals over the summer because of last year's low prices locally. I have friends in Chicago and South Carolina that are in heaven with all the killer Cali outs that showed up this year. It never ceases to amaze me how our little industry responds to market pressures, adapts, overcomes, and keeps on trucking. Everytime this happens it gives me a small glimpse of hope that, when the day comes, the big corps won't be able to take over what is rightfully our industry.

Good luck you guys with your ins and outs. It has the makings of a great year for all of us.

I've just finished major renovations in my indoor room and I'm filling it full of blue dream and green crack :fire:

I've shelved my low yielders for at least one cycle, hopefully more.

looks like it could be!

I bet Obama is helping keep prices high with his idle threats recently.............
None of the club owners I've talked to consider that to be a serious risk. If it did have an effect, it would lower wholesale prices because clubs wouldn't want keep as high of an inventory so they'd buy less. Buying less = lower wholesale prices.

Oh Captain my captain! Thank you kind commander in chief.

But seriously, its election season, he doesn't give a crap about anything else.

None of them do. "Election season" is at least a year before the election. This means that 25% of the time, our government is on hold. And, this doesn't even count mid term elections.

BTW, Matt, I very much enjoyed your You Tube video on making bubble hash. I'm a dry sieve guy myself, but if I ever do make some bubble, I will be using your video as my instructions. Great job.

Hey thanks for the feedback. Yeah, election season is four years long, every four years, aka all the time.

"now pack a bowl and get comfortable" tosh.o

Whats the market this year?
Are you guys saying its getting dry already?

The club I work with said they are having a good time and donations are silly cheap because growers want a good holiday and dumping at half price.

ive seen both low and high. its been an odd year.

i know folks are still sitting, just don't know where they at.

indoor in coming thru big time. prices are back up, all over the state for in and outs.

Got rid of a few packs already. Sitting on the rest until spring.

Got a couple offers for my stuff but I will end up sitting on it and sharing with my local buddies once the dispensaries are gone.
