They can't make any laws to solve the country's problems as long as the republicans are in power, nothing serious gets done. They need laws about this, make it, but they can't use it on employees or to spy on news or other organizations. However, it is a complicated subject and needs sensible people to make sensible laws and that means getting republican out of government. Once out, laws can passed and foxnews gotten rid of, to keep them out of power for a long time, or at least until generational and demographic changes make a comeback in their present form impossible.

Once out of power for a while, much of the base will fall away and perhaps it can be taken over by others. A party is a vehicle in America and has special statues under the laws of many states and it is difficult or impossible to get on the ballot in any meaningful way. That means the republican party as an institution has value and that value will be taken from the morons who run it now by smarter people than they one day. If you can get 100,000 people or less in some states you can take over the nomination process for candidates with a bit of flash crowd type stuff popular among the young. Register republican but vote democratic should be their message, unless they elect their patriot in the republican primary, who will campaign as a democrat clone. Take the party from them, steal it from out under their feet, only a small number of people vote in primaries, and they are mostly nuts on the republican side. If you are from a red state, this might be the way to go and if ya get to DC, ya vote with the democrats on everything and cut the republicans throats anyway you can.

I would never put you on ignore but admit to skipping past some of your more long winded diatribes.

Sometimes a break from this is a healthy thing. When was the last time you had a good night’s sleep?
Actually, a couple of nights ago and last night, the night before that was a bitch, since I quit smoking pot, took melatonin and slept like the dead for two nights in a row. I have sleep issues that run in the family anyway and I'm trying to get regular again, the weather has been improving more too, so more exercise. Actually, I'm taking a break from some housework now and put the fitbit back on this morning, I can't do shit when I'm smoking dope!

Jimmy Carter is still alive at 98 and was building houses into his 90s. How our final years end up is often a matter of lifestyle, a healthy one, versus an unhealthy one. Joe seems clearheaded to me, he did run circles around the republicans in his last SOU address and with a good support staff could go for another decade, as long as he isn't losing his marbles to Alzheimer's or suffers from another degenerative disease. FDR was only 63 when he died and was near dead when he started his final term.

Way to go, Joe! I’ll take ‘sleepy’ Joe over the Fandom Menacer - absent serious evidence of legitimate wrongdoing (!) on Biden’s part, which I guarantee I would pay serious attention to if any showed up (could someone tutor Rep. Comer on the rules of evidence & investigation vs fishing plz).

For now - and for the future - we have a clear and present danger before us, and Biden has shown himself to be surprisingly effective
