Why are the flood victims in iowa so much better behaved than the katrina survivors? both underwater, both in a disaster area. What makes them act different?

well not all katrina survivors were unruly. The middle class whites were well taken care of. They're insurance companies cooperated, they were given accomadations immediately, and were put at ease by "FEMA". I got married in the Dominican and there were folks from LA, and TX who were middle class to upper middle class whites, and they had no clue. They were involved in the same disaster and couldn't comprehend what the lower class blacks/whites went through. It was a true testament to how segregated we all are.

So there are no poor people in Iowa? That doesnt make sense. If it was because poor people are treated differently, wouldnt there still be problems in iowa?

probably because there aren't any slums in iowa from what i've seen. nawlins is a different story. i was there a couple of times before katrina and there were some parts of town you simply did not walk through at night.

Dont let anyone fool you twisty. Louisiana is a shithole. New orleans is the pickpocket capitol of the world after paris. THe crime and gang rate their is outrageous. When they moved those people to houston(which is probably 4 times the size of NO), houstons crime and homicide rate skyrocketed. Now they really want to rebuild it. If anyone was thinking, they would let it die.

That's why ya cross the bridge and sit out on the West Bank and just look at the city from across the river. It's a great place to burn a few down... New Orleans is a city of very rich history, once I move to California I'm sure I'll never visit it again, but as I'm down here already... I'm glad it's here.

Well, I found a cam phone pic I took a few weeks ago... now ya can imagine it like I do!

Because they still have water in cedar rapids, they just have to conserve on flushing. Many folks got out, and help seems to be coming quickly. The folks in Louisiana were trapped.
