Have been trying to figure out what the panic is all about but I am realizing people are worried they will be stuck inside their homes soon just like you. I am one state over in CT. Many of the stores around here have empty shelves but you can still find TP and water if you look around. Businesses and restaurants are still open but if you need baby wipes or Purell good luck.
Hang in there my friends! Put on a record loud enough for your neighbors to hear you are still alive and twist up a big ass doob. “They” are not there to oppress you; this is just to hopefully mitigate the spread. Be well stay healthy & for Christ’s sake wash fucking your hands people.

I have 30 rolls in the garage and another 12 pack in each bathroom for a total of 54 rolls. I'll survive.

Plus I always keep a couple months worth of food on hand because you never know what might happen. I'm not going to be one of those that isn't prepared and forced to stand in line with a bunch of people freaking out. I can stay home for months without any problem. I also have a couple of those 30 day survival food kits that last indefinitely and a few five gallon gas cans full of gas, several full propane tanks, a propane generator, about 50 gallons of drinking water, and close to 100 pounds of meat in the freezer.. I've been ready for something like this for awhile and now I can sit back and relax while others panic. I bumped up my stash when the first news of the virus was trickling out of China and people were still oblivious as to what might happen. I figured it was going to get bad and I was right.

Are there seriously military personnel on the streets? Can't access local DOT cameras here for some reason.

In sunny British Columbia, about three hours east of the coast and three hours north of the US border, everything is normal. Nobody is freaking out. Nobody is stupidly panic buying needless things (like toilet paper, perishable food etc). Nobody is wearing plastic bags or water jugs over their heads.

That said, nobody here watches Fox News, nor do they believe the outright bullshit lies coming out of the US administration embarrassment either.

Soldiers on the street, seriously? That's the beginning of martial law? Do you have photo/video of this happening?

If people would just be sensible, take reasonable precautions, and don't expose yourself needlessly, there's nothing to go absolutely crazy over.

I hear you. People are freaking out. I've just always believed on keeping a decent amount of supplies on hand. It's not as if I just ran out and panic shopped. I always keep a big stash of food and other supplies.

You and me both. Before I was forced to move due to forest fire last year, we were an hour from the closest store, so we know how to stock up appropriately. For that I am thankful.

I've got everything we need for at least three months. All stocked up over a long time period though. We have our gardens (indoor and out), a solar array and a 10kW generator. I live right on a large lake where I pull water from, and catch fish in.

I'm enjoying a nice harvesting day today. So glad I don't have to struggle with everyone who's panicking.

Friends of mine always say I'm crazy for keeping such a large stash. I wonder if they're thinking about me while they're standing in line after fighting over the last pack of toilet paper or hotdogs.

What we do when we're out doing a shopping run and something we use or need is on sale, we pick up two, and store one. Everything we have stored has a purpose, and a need. None of it was impulse purchasing.

We had so much snow a couple of years ago (~4' that lasted nearly two full months), we were trapped at home for weeks on end. Way out in the bush up north, there is no option other than being prepared.

There are soldiers in hazmat suits going door to door taking temperatures. Anyone with symptoms is being taken away in military trucks. I heard that they're forcibly quarantining the afflicted.
