Half have had a heavy prune the other side has been left pretty much as is.. any bets on which side will do better? People have a lot to say about pruning and defoliation generally, I prefer training and defoliation than trimming shitloads of tiny buds so I like this option.. people say it doesn’t really effect yields but I pulled 3lb 12oz from the pruned side last run while there was under 3 of viable flower from the one I pretty much left to do it’s own thing..

Had started a bunch of seedlings off without doing a proper clean a few weeks back.. decided to pull em all out and bleach/clean everything properly.. I’d never forgive myself if things went to shit cause I was too lazy to put in the work..

Hey growmie! Its been a bit. So much has been going on i havent hardly had time to do shit. My father was in the hospital from Thanksgiving till the week after. Hes finally home. Still helping take care of him. Next my kid got pneumonia and was very sick. Then wife was sick. Then I caught the flu. I was able to harvest all but 2 plants and i did a shit job trimming. Who cares? Lol. I felt like shit. Ripleys OG is very good. I got 5.5,3.5 and 1 zip off Ripley's and 2 off the white widow. Thats 12 so im gonna be close to a pound after these next two. 1 is a Mephisto limited and it smells like sour patch kids candy. Other is another WW. Beer can buds with few terps but whatever. This pic is of my 2 week old tomorrow Grape Crush(3) and 2 Creme de la Chem with a Man Bear Alien Pig x Iced and Baked. I crammed 8 plants under 400w in that 2x4. I sure hope those 2 finish before the other 6 get much bigger. I hope youre doing well! Im glad to be back. My wife totally hates hearing me talk growing and I totally hate trying to explain it to her. See ya later mate!

Hey CP, man they look great for just two weeks! I had a devastating cockup mid flower, had my buddy add a small light between two of the big ones but he fucked up the timing and the whole crop started revegging.. devastated, trying to rescue as much as we can but it’s all going to be shit.. and my other tent I was doing a run of more cowbell in got attacked by thrips which in turn gave all the plants some fungal disease.. I’ve had them in for over a month now and they are barely bigger than your two week olds.. I really should have scrapped the lot and started again but I don’t want to waste the strain.
hope you get some smoother sailing heading toward Christmas mate, sounds like it’s been a bit chaotic over there with you.. good to hear from you.

Damn, man. That totally bites. Everything was looking so good last time you posted a pic. I guess at least you had a big harvest last time. Everytime i consider doing a photo run i see something like this where months of work gets fkd . One thing about these autos, im only ever >80 days from harvest even if something horrible happens. I dont get those huge harvests, but a pound+/- from a 2x4 every 3 months suits my current needs well until i get a decent tent and space to place it. Its deep winter for me so i dont have to sweat the bugs rt now. Ive got a 24" box fan blowing them around to prevent PM. I hope youre able to salvage enough to meet your needs. It sucks when you have to trust a friend to care for your crop. Even with the best of intentions, it seems everytime ive done it, something went wrong. I chopped the Hubbabubbahaze x Livers bx1 monday. I let her go a little too far( 20% amber) but its got alot of sativa genetics working and i like more couchlock than speed. Smells like fresh cut lemons and limes. I am finally getting to where i can ( mostly) steer a run from start to finish with no deficiencies or over feeding. After i started cutting the N way back on these Mephistos during veg theyve really started jumping. I realize now i was choking them with straight FFOF. Ive never had to start tying them down before the month mark before. Well, gotta take the wife to work. Merry Christmas my friend! Hope things turn around for ya andi wish you well!

Youre spot on about the learning. 3 years ago when i restarted growing i couldnt believe how much things have changed. I freaked out about every little issue. If i learn as much in the next 3 as i did these then I am excited to be on this ride. I hope i can be one of these old guys everyone calls a cannabis guru. lol. I think how far i still have to go and its daunting. But man as much fun as this has been its just getting better. My screw ups, especially, have taught me a ton. ive managed to get all but a couple plants to finish albeit a few ugly as sin. Its really crazy looking back at how little i knew.

Shite! Thats some major foxtailing. They sure looked torched. Definitely not your usual room full of goodness. Hash and edibles will definately be in abundance this time. A shame to have the whole room go south but at least its not mites or PM. You wont let this happen again im sure.

Hope you had a good Christmas! We sure did. My babies are growing up fast. They were 3 weeks yesterday and the Grape Crush are throwing pistils. Ive been LSTing and tonight im starting nutes with their water. The plant in center front is only 2 weeks and it has almost caught the GC and has already passed the CDLC'S. I have to walk a fine line feeding these things as they are so N sensitive when young. They will claw up quick if i barely overfeed. I am still learning....good luck with the hash and may your next run return to your usual excellence.

Thanks. Im finally getting to where i dont feel like some dolt fumbling in the dark on a grow. I like Indicas too. These Grape crush are 60/40 I/S and the CDLC are 70/30. I would also like to do some sativas for the wife but they make me paranoid and my heart races. The haze cross i just finished drying tastes and smells unbelievable. Like skunky sour gummies. But, its mostly sativa and not much couch lock for the first 30 minutes. Almost a psychedelic feeling.

Oh hell, I know im no mans expert. lol. But im a shitload down the road from the guy that freaked out everytime i saw a leaf spot. Im humble as hell. Especially after that last go with PM. But ive grown enough now to realize that ive got to fk up bad to get zero harvest. Cool thing about these Mephistos is im only ever 70 couple days from a harvest even if i have to start from scratch. Thats the biggest plus of autos. I get 4 harvests a year at least. But youre correct. Nature has a way of humbling a man. Im more just cautiously optimistic these days. I tell ya what Ive had some real slappers these last 3 mephisto runs. I thought part of the appeal for growing autos would be you could stagger your harvests as they all grow under the same light conditions? Would make a perpetual grow pretty easy wouldn’t it? Although I suppose you still have to negotiate humidity differences for veg and flower somewhat..

have been sitting here thinking about how to set up the next room.. am thinking of trying a vertical grow using back to back leds and SOG the walls.. was always fascinated with the thought of them back in the day.. not sold on the idea yet as the setup would be both pretty expensive and a huge learning curb..
