Indoor Grow Update: Week 8 Challenges & Flushing Questions

Question: I'm heading into week 8 and wondering what to do next. Should I flush for the last 2 weeks? I've already done one flush, and the runoff came out deep yellow. Still waiting for the pistils to turn red 50%-75%. Maybe another 2 weeks? Should i continue feeding? Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated!

Strains: GG#4, Nitro Haze, Double Cookies, and Cookies Cush (all from BSF seed strains, except cookies kush).
Grow Method: Soil, using MaxiBloom from start to finish. The soil mix includes coco fiber, peat moss, perlite, worm humus, and vermiculite.
Containers: 3-gallon grow bags. (3/4 of the way full)

Watering/Feeding:
  • pH: Watered at 6.7, runoff measures at 6.5.
  • Runoff EC: At week 7 of flowering, measuring around 2000 ppm.
  • Maxibloom Mix: I run it at 800-900 ppm with an EC of 1700.
Setup Details:
  • Lighting: 250W LED full-spectrum with 900 PPFD.
  • Temperature: Daytime 75-80°F, nighttime 50-55°F.
  • Humidity: 62-68% during the day.
  • Ventilation: 6-inch intake and exhaust system, plus a large fan for air circulation.
  • CO2: None added. (CO2 levels are at 800-900 where i live)
Plant Sizes and Growth:
  • GG#4, Nitro Haze, and Double Cookies are each about 5.5 feet tall.
  • The Double Cookies plant is shorter and bushier but has beautiful, dense, plum-colored nugs.

Would love to hear feedback or insights from others who’ve grown similar strains or have experience with a similar setup. Any advice on optimizing results or improving the grow environment would be awesome!

Oh, the dreaded flushing question. The small bit of actual research that been done on it, says that flushing removes nothing from the plant, and in blind taste tests, most people preferred unflushed weed. Why yellow the leaves and buds while you starve your plant in the home stretch? Bottom line, it’s your plant, it’s your call. BTW, that plant has a good month to go!
