I am doing my first ever outdoor grow with white widow Auto.. From what i have read , Its not advisable to transplant autos. So it would be better if you plant the seeds (after germination) directly into the large pots.Hey fellow Indian ents!
Seems like this thread has been inactive for some time now! So I'm excited to share my upcoming indoor grow with you guys.
Have placed order for some seeds: White LSD Auto, Bubblegum Auto, Auto AK47, and then some freebies. Hoping they'll arrive safely and in reasonable time. As this was my first time ordering seeds from a re-seller.
Grow preparations are pretty much done. Have acquired organic potting soil, Seedling soil mix, Miracle grow plant food, small pots for seeding, 3 gallon pots for growing, etc.
In terms of lights I have 3 x 65watt CFL (6500K Daylight) and 1 x 65watt CFL (2700K Warm white) along with an assortment of smaller 23watt (6500K) CFLs. I have grown land-race seeds with CFL in the past, so know that they must be positioned as close to the plant as possible. Can any experienced members advice if this is going to provide sufficient light to grow 2 plants at a time in a 2.5 X 2.5 X 4 feet area?
Since this is my first proper grow, I have mostly ordered Auto-flowering breeds as maintaining a strict photo-period is not possible for my space. Hope that they are more forgiving compared to regular seeds.
For now the waiting for seeds to arrive. Will keep you guys updated, will think about starting a grow journal if time permits!
Cheers guys!
Great to hear about your White Widow Auto grow! How are the plants doing? Do share some pictures!I am doing my first ever outdoor grow with white widow Auto.. Yes, Bro heat is going to be bit*h to deal with, especially with outside temps touching 40 C already. That's why I plan to grow only a couple of seeds to see how the plants are coping with the atmosphere/my grow space.Bro, my grow is in very nascent stage, my seeds germinated 5 days ago. first set of leaves did appear yesterday, but today i noticed that they have heat burn. I m hoping that they will revive with further care.. will post pics as soon as i have some growth.. the heat is here is immense..
where did u order the seeds from. I got mine from SEEDSMAN..
Nah man, didn't manage to get any product from my earlier grow. Unfortunately mites attacked the plants before it get to flowering stage. All in all it was my first grow, so lots of mistakes were made and lot of lessons were learned. The seeds took 10 days to arrive, got delayed due to weather issues in UK. I did not know the name MSNL, will try them next time.
Yes i got 3 free seeds, although they are just feminized and not auto. I am pretty confident your package will arrive very soon. I don't use any lights, since its not possible at my place.. I started them outdoors straight. I do plan to build a grow box for myself in the near future..
Since u have been growing in the past yourself , Did u smoke any of ur own product? How was it??
I hope u get good growth this time.. I have lost my 2 initial seedlings. this is the third which is growing fine. Wouldn't repeat the same mistake again. I wish i could practice on bag seeds , but that was not possible. The buds i get at my place are are clean and strong.. Although i miss the imported strains i used to smoke.. the aroma and flavour of properly grown weed is no match for the shit stuff we get on streets. this is the reason i am dabbling in growing myself. Let me know what strain u get as free seeds from MSNL..Nah man, didn't manage to get any product from my earlier grow. Unfortunately mites attacked the plants before it get to flowering stage. Although the grow did not succeed, the confidence I have gained from it shall help with the next one. That's why I always practice the stuff on freely available bag-seeds, before dipping my toes into hybrid genetics.
With regards to your plants, I suppose you should use some kind of garden shade (that green colored net kind thing, which only lets 50% of the light through) should help you moderate the amount of light/heat that hits your plants. Trust me these imported seeds can't withstand a lot of heat, especially Indian summers
In other news, 2 land-race seeds have germinated yesterday and are growing healthy. Might give these away to a buddy who is interested in starting his own indoor grow . #OT the buds I am getting from the street nowadays are utter crap, almost not smoke-worthy.
Both of your plants look great... keep up the good work buddy. I hope all three get good buds to smoke from our own produce...View attachment 4120239 This is one of my land race sativa under mainling.
Have grown a few landraces before never went to harvest , chopped due to height issue. Now under proper training hoping to get a short plant at the tym of flowing.
Will keep u guys updated . Cheers
U should remove the clear plastic wrap if u havnt done this already, this is a good idea to get the seed to germinate but as soon as it is up wrap should be removed.this is my grow of white widow auto.. The previous seedlings did not tolerate the lack of humidity. Now i am keeping my pot covered with a clear plastic wrap to maintain humidity. It looks to be growing..any advise when should i start providing it direct sunlight.. I am scared to loose this one , since this is my last seed..i have never exposed it to direct sunlight till date..
Man! I am so glad this forum is getting some great responses!U should remove the clear plastic wrap if u havnt done this already, this is a good idea to get the seed to germinate but as soon as it is up wrap should be removed.
Partial sun would be best for the first week, then when it has put down some decent roots into the soil u can put it in full sun and be careful to never let it dry out completely.
Bro, take some time out to go an visit any gardening supply stores if any in your locality, and get a sun-shade, here's an image for reference. It is super cheap stuff.this is my grow of white widow auto.. The previous seedlings did not tolerate the lack of humidity. Ya ur ryt it’s just normal red soil. Landraces grow cool in any kinda shit n weather. Hard thing about landrace is wen not planted in proper season den hav to wait hell lot of months to see it flowering.Man! I am so glad this forum is getting some great responses!
Agree with your suggestions, Covering a seedling with plastic will kill it. Especially in our harsh climate at this time of the year, I would suggest @tatasafari to keep his plants indoor if possible at least until it grows three sets of leaves.
Your plants look great, however the soil in your topped Sativa plant pot is looking quite red in color, which might be due to clay content. Did you mix the soil on your own or bought it from gardening store? The NL Auto soil looks great, can see lot of perlite and coco coir.
Have you had experience with growing Autos before? This is going to be my first time.

I have got the seeds and they're looking awesome , will be starting them off today. Planning to do 2 Autos initially to see how they are able to hold up.
P.S.- I got Aurora Indica feminized and Super Skunk regular as freebies, a total of 8 freebs
Here's Pics of my 3 day old land-race sativas.
