Inda-gro Induction...

Yeah, you'll see water squirt out the sides like a hole in a damn :(

Had high hopes for them to replace fabric smartpots, thinking they would be easier to clean, easy to unscrew for a transplant and would last forever.

You can dump water in a fabric smartpot, not with these, gotta trickle it in or it's a mess.

Bummer they are so messy, mine are for outdoor use only now.
I'm in 1L pots now, and since the plants are short and always increasing in "shrub status", watering was become more of a pain. I can't just dump in water, I have to do it all slow. I had an idea of making a large batch of nutrient solution and dunking the whole airpot in a bucket(pseudo bottom feeding), instead of top feeding. Basically a manual method of "Flood and Drain".

A new thouie may top it in weight unless it was 2 420's and a 200 vs the thouie haha.
Won't take all that brutha 2 Stroke. I'll 420/Pontoon vs the new thouie and have a better smoke and yield.

For all my Great Lakes pals out there if you can get away to the Novi, MI Max Yield show there is going to be a ton of swag to be had. I know Inda-Gro has a booth there too if you want to stop by and tell them you're on RIU I think you'll be taken care of. http://indoorgardenexpo.com/greatlakes-expo

Chaz if that was not clear on the other side of lake mich and then some would think about it but taking the ferry it is still close to a 7 hour trip so I think I will stick to the local gardening expo's, they aren't so bad.

Hey Captain! Yeah I know Inda-Gro has booth there. Introduce yourself and tell them you're a RIUupper. I know for a fact they get respect many of the members here and even one that is no longer here. If you can get there do. There is usually enough swag at the MY shows you could start your own hydro shop!

Hey Captain! Glad to hear you made it and could spend some time chatting them up. I heard the show was packed. Very cool to see other induction companies getting out there too. Curious if one of them was igrow?

No igrow, but I remember these two.

http://www.urban-gro.com/
http://parluxcorporation.com/Home.html

The first one has 300 watters and a hood that will take 3 lamps and the second has 400 watters and a hood that will take 3 lamps.
So you can get 900 and 1200 watt induction fixtures, wow!
Didn't check out their spectrum's yet.
I thought maybe there was another but can't remember for sure or their name.

Thanks Captain. Nice to see some other companies offering induction. Although for the life of me I don't know why you'd want to throw three 400 watt lamps under a hood and make people pick one of three kelvin ratings for these lamps at least Parlux is offered by Steuber Distributors and they are a well respected wholesaler. http://www.steuberdistributing.org/

Perhaps some of the other major wholesalers will also see fit to expand their offering to include induction as well. It's hard to say though since induction could definitely have an impact on their overall HID relamp business.

On another note...my GSC Day 14 Update:

Time for some TLC. Still running an 18/6 with temps running between 74-78 degrees and humidity between 58-64%. Been on RO only for two weeks now and overall they've about doubled in size but the coco is running a bit behind. Battling a bit of PM so I'm gonna treat this weekend with Serenade. Also having some Cal/Mag and Nitrogen defecincies so starting this weekend I've decided to go with Botanicare The Kind Series for base nutes. For root development and health I'll be adding Great White Shark Mycorrhizae and Roots Excelerator. I plan on LSTing the back row and look for another couple weeks of veg depending upon how they react to the Botanicare nutes. Should expect some nice greening up and new growth over the next 4-5 days.

Looking real good and green ther chaz! is the kind line botanicares new line that is supposed to be minerally derived? Not extremely familiar with their products, and am trying to move towards a sustainable organic approach, but nonethelss am always interested in new products. especially since if it is the one i am thinking of then i heard it can not be labeled organic because of its mineral base but is not synthetic in the traditional sense of the word. oh and forgot if you mentioned are those thin mint pheno cuts of gsc or you starting seeds and hoping for a keeper?

Thanks Natro! From what I was told these are the thin mint cut. Again I inherited these gurlz and would as you put it so well would qualify it as 'hoping for a keeper'. As to the nutes; having seen an amazing run of Purple Kush turn out using this line I looked into going with it for myself. From what I'd seen online and from what information I got from Botanicare directly is that the Kind is more organic based but not fully. Here's a link: http://www.botanicare.com/KIND-Plant-Nutrient-System-P196.aspx

After two feedings I'm happy to see improvements the new growth and some greening up but I'm keeping fingers crossed.

I wonder how the pontoons would effect an AutoFlower with no dark cycle......
Hey Scar! I've not done an autoflower with the pontoon but as a autoflower relies on age not photoperiod, I believe, as would be seen in nature, the Pfr response from the 730nm diodes 'sunset spectrum' and the chlorophyll A 660nm spectrum would benefit ruderalis as well. Perhaps even more so but I've not been big on autoflowers due to their relatively low yields so I personally wouldn't put the time into it.

Just couldn't help myself.
Hey Captain! LMFAO thanks for that!

Now that things are looking up a bit @ day 20 I got around to labeling the plants. From left - right:

2 ea., Grand Daddy Mendo
2 ea., 213 OG
2 ea., Girl Scout Cookie - Thin Mint
1 ea., Blueberry Diesel
1 ea., Dream Queen

Keeping up the serenade every couple days as there is some PM on the coco side GSC which is clearing up from when I took over but not entirely. I'm thinking that's part of the reason the coco side is underdeveloped compared to the soil side. Been feeding every other day with a 600ppm mix. Today I've increased the nutes to 800ppm. Running an 18/6 (single Pro-420 without the pontoon) with outdoor temps running between 85-90F. So far I haven't had to run the AC and I'm keeping the inside temps between 74-78F @ 50-64% humidity. Hoping to flip in another week.

I got these at around week 2 with what I'm told was 4 that were mixed in Roots 707 (soil-perlite) and 4 in straight coco (no perlite). They were pretty stressed when I got em but I am liking the comeback.
