Increase trich production

i seen a vid where a man took a piece of wood and stuck it in the main stem, he said the plant will think its under attack, and produce even more trichomes. Has anyone had any experience with this method of growing?

I've heard of the method, some say it works...

Metahalogen lights increase trichome production and so does a low RH during the end of flowering.

Also it's strain dependant and I've even heard that UVB lamps increase tri accumulation. The kind of lamps you use when you have reptiles at home.

Im no super scientist ok guys? XD im just a down to earth fella. I happened to watch YouTube and seen this method performed, but before i try something its more important for me to review this with more experienced growers, im on my second grow blue mystic auto in the 6th week all organic. Has the smell of over rippened orange peels and pine

I used molasses all thorough my grow, now i added indonesean BG and nirvana bloom booster since its flowering

This practice has been around for many years, and has been reported in various grow books, etc. It doesn't seem to be practiced anymore, probably because it's not very effective.

There is nothing more important than 1) growing a healthy plant from day 1 to the last day, 2) providing enough proper light for superior growth, and 3) letting it flowering for a long (LONG) time. If you provide everything the plant needs, it will be as good as the genetics allow.
