ok i started germing a seed like 3 days ago i put the seed in a paper towl soaked it in warm water and put it in a ziplock back. i am out of town right now and wont be able to put more warm water, will the seed still germ?
probally as long as it doesnt get too dry and kill the tap root or something. In the future i would just put them directly in the soil if you are using soil, their is no actual benefit to the paper towel method, just more chance something could go wrong because it requires more interaction and thus chances for problems.
the seed will stay moist in a ziplock, no need to ever water it again. It may have sprouted 2 days ago though. By the time you get home it could be dead. Decent seeds that aren't too old generally germinate and sprout a root in 24 hours.
Where did you place the seeds that are germinating? It speeds up the process of germinating if they are in a warm place, a cold wet enviornment can sometimes slow down the germination rate depending on how healthy the seeds are.
