Everything looks wrong here starting with the age to size difference. They look roasted. How are the temps? In need of some help with figuring out what’s happening to my plants! They are all the same age about 64+ days old northern lights x big bud auto.
Okay, so you are right first grow everything kinda went wrong during this grow. So, first the biggest most roasted one is one week ahead and grew under a CFL for a week or two then I got a 280W indoor frost light I had it ramped up to 100% around the 4th week of growth. Light has been at 2 feet + the whole time. The soil is Sohum living soil no added nutes at all during the grow. The issue during growing is heat change in summer temps were hitting the 90s in the tent... no its average is around 75. Humidity was also really bad for a while about 2-3 weeks of like under 30 % rh now its around 50-70 % rh in the tent. Watering schedule was also bad was watering daily... changed it up did a dry week and started watering about 1 solo cup to each plant every 3 days.Everything looks wrong here starting with the age to size difference. Also how many watts is the light running/how close do you hang it?
What size pots are those?Okay, so you are right first grow everything kinda went wrong during this grow. its about 500ml they are bigger cupsyou're giving one solo cup (350ish mL) of water to each plant every third day? you went from way over watering to way under watering. they have all kinds of lockout issues and salt buildups. flush, feed kelp tea, and pray.
https://sohumsoils.com/product/sohum-living-soils-premium-bag/whats in your pre-fab soil?
I see water coming off as run off I dab up the excess if theres too muchFor starters anytime you water it should be to runoff.
They are 5 Gal pots the burn is prob from the soil being too nute rich I thinkWhat size pots are those?
watering everyday in soil can’t be good. Over watering is a no no. Letting them go dry for a week!?!? Holy shit I’m surprised they are still standing. If no nutes were given how did they get burned?
Too new to like comments evidently.. soyou're giving one solo cup (350ish mL) of water to each plant every third day? you went from way over watering to way under watering. they have all kinds of lockout issues and salt buildups. flush, feed kelp tea, and pray.
bingo, imo. They are 5 Gal pots the burn is prob from the soil being too nute rich I think
Thanks, yeah I got some gelato or critical bilbo feminized photos Ima do after this one and run an auto on the side as extra if need be! I got a timer too! What is aact ??? and yeah ima try an easier soil next time I think... any recomendations was thinking fox farms ocean! should I get there nute line as well?!bingo, imo.
this might just be a learning curve grow. I had to trash my first two rounds but i learned a lot. Don't expect much from this round. Also, i admittedly haven't kept up with how autoflower breeding has developed over the last decade, but seriously consider photoperiod seeds and just put in the time to veg and flower. A timer costs like 2 bucks and its worth it for the quality bump. If you're gonna give them a delux 30$/1.5cu ft home, you may as well team up with really quality genetics.
get your watering tech down and look into aact. Living soils are fun, good on you for giving organics a go!
be easy, good luck,
Sounds good dude! Thanks, yeah I got some gelato or critical bilbo feminized photos Ima do after this one and run an auto on the side as extra if need be! I got a timer too! Okay dope yeah Ill do the teas then... So is there a rule of thumb on when you make/give tea to the plants like on a basic schedule to get the hang of doing it? Then is there a rule for how much water for how big a plant is or how often to water and with how much??Sounds good dude!
AACT = Actively Aerated Compost Tea
Your soil is likely fine, especially if you haven't added anything to it. Start the process of recycling it after this grow. You can go with FFOF, i love it; their coco loco is pretty tasty too if you like having a coco base. there are tons of threads about organic soil building in the organics section. the three little birds (3LB) and clackamas coot are stellar on soil building.
you can fuck around with liquid salt-based nutes if you want to. I found that keeping the soil microbiota happy was a more laid back way to take care of plants rather than all the pH testing and shit that comes with salt-based ferts. You basically kill off or never introduce any of the microbial life that helps plants grow with chemical nutes, and so you are 100% on the hook for caring for the plant's every need throughout the whole grow.
Learning what keeps the soil healthy is easy and fairly straightforward. Teaming with Microbes is an essential read (lowenfels and lewis) to get you started. gardening with the soil-food-web is really rewarding and life altering, and it gives you buds that taste so much better than anything grown with chemicals!
my top advice would be go organic, but failing that, yeah you can scoop up bottled nutes and go through the whole flushing and pHing and all that if you want.
be easy,
