In-line water pump questions

I wanted to know what in-line water pump everyone’s using that’s been reliable? I’ve been searching for a couple days and I’ve been reading reviews that seemed to be mixed. I’m looking for a good 400 GPH pump that people have had success with. I want it to be an in-line pump so I don’t have to put it in my res bucket.

From my experience they're all about the same. Just make sure the fittings work with your setup. The ones that are dry burn protected are a nice idea, but I've accidentally left pumps on for hours after they sucked up my runoff and they didn't burn out.

I like the Marineland Maxi-Jet series.

I’ve taken them apart to put a new propeller in before in the past. I didn’t think too much could go bad. The mag-drive pumps are what I’ll likely choose.
