Quick update. So far I have 35 of 40 GDP popped up. And none of the landrace squaw.... my mind is blown. I'm wondering if the landrace is unwilling to sprout because of some kind of genetic seasonal timer? See the seeds are ready in September naturally. But the climate is still very much like spring with plenty rain, sunshine and warmth to sprout at that time. So something has to keep them held off until fall and winter is over. I'm truly stumped on this one. Any theories guys? Maybe I should have tried to trick them and froze them overnight before attempting germination?

Sounds like they were poped from bud into soil immediately, if so just store in cool dry location for a few weeks and try again. If they are not on a heat mat or something I'd suggest getting one.

Plus, just give them a few more days. They say a watched pot never boils, but they are wrong.

Was about 2 weeks from when I took the sample until I started the germination process.

Correction. Now 39 of 40 have surfaced:) 27 will make the move to grow bags. I'm disappointed with no squaw..... they seemed to attract y'alls attention also...what a bummer. I'm still scratching my head over them

Hopefully since one squaw has popped then a few more should. With my luck the one I have ends up a male lol. I had planned on crossing squaw with GDP but I wanted to use a GDP male to female squaw.

Used the watched pot analogy with my wife last night, gave the chicken soup a stir, set the timer for 2 minutes, went and sat down, Wife stood there at the stove untill the buzzer went off and she said "its boiling" we were both right only I got to cath up on a few riu posts while she stood amelessly in front of the stove.

Cheers.
