Sweet cream, not "sweet butter". Nuances, grasshopper. Its what the butter was made from
LOL funny my family had a dairy and I thought all butter was from sweet cream! I never even gave it a second thought! But you are right. Straight from Challenge's website!

All Challenge Butter like most of the butter produced commercially in the United States is sweet cream butter, butter produced from fresh sweet cream as opposed to butter made from cultured or soured cream. Both Challenge regular and Challenge Unsalted are sweet cream butters. To complicate matters however, many consumers and cookbook writers use the rather misleading term “Sweet Butter” to refer to unsalted butter. To add to the confusion the term “Sweet Cream Butter” more often refers to salted butter; but could refer to any butter that is made from sweet cream.

From raw cows milk? Holy fuck do I feel stupid? I have had fresh butter, when the cream separated from the rest of the unpasteurized milk...shaken in a jar and you're left with buttermilk and butter....is this what we are talking about?

What I got from Challenge's website the cream used was fresh and not cultured. I feel like a fucktard of the first degree. My extended family had a dairy when I was growing up. So I mean you have some excuse. As for me I apparently was not paying attention! LOL typical

We are not allowed to consume unpasteurized dairy products...now how fucked is that? It was the absolute best tasting butter I have ever eaten. I suspect our creamery style butter is comparable but not...

You induce me to remember the old Land O' Lakes boxes. Sweet cream butter, lightly salted.

And the juvenile things we could do with the pictures.

Anyone Else. (besides me) used to cut out the Land-O-Lakes Lady off the box?
Cut around her knees carefully, and carefully cut out the butter she is holding.
Then fold her knees up to make it look like she is holding her boobs.
It's a peek-a-booby!
