I'm About to Give Up on Cloning

So this is my sixth try with no success. Read all tutorials. Went the rock-wool/dome way = Fail, Built a DWC cloner = fail, right now I'm putting together an EZ-cloner as last resource while some cuttings are in the DWC cloner mocking me and not growing roots @ 5th day.

I'm using RO water at 2-5 ppm base. Rootech cloning gel for the stems, and 400 ppm of Clonex solution along with the recomended dosage of H2O2 for the water. I daily check the PH and it stays @ 5.8, no dramatic shifts whatsoever. My clones are 3 nodes length, where the bottom got the leaves removed and prepped as you'd normally do, I don't scrape the stems, just roll off the leaves. Water and ambient temp are always in range 20-24°C and RH is around 60%. No wilting at all, they look very healthy in spite of they are not even trying to establish a root system. Some white membrane is slowly growing in the stems (is this pythium?), My guess is that they'll start yellow and die in about a week due to mineral leeching if this doesn't change. As container I'm using a rubber maid 2gal tub where I fit 12 cuttings in 2" holes with net pots and neoprene inserts. I feed the mothers only PH'd water a week before taking the cuts, clean everything with bleach, H2O2 and RO water, sterilize the sizzler between every cut. You name it, and I'm already doing it. So wtf is wrong? is it because I use feminized seeds? I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO!! :wall:

Please help me!

have you tried another strain... i've heard that some strains are easier/faster to clone than others... ?

I have a basic water pump with a piece of cpvc 1/2" pipe with a cheap water sprayer at the end to mist the roots.
I take the cuttings split them in half an inch up from the bottom of the stem and soak them in regular tap water until all cuttings are taken.

I dip them in clon-ex for 30 seconds or so

I put them in my cloner and mist them with water on the leaves everyday until they show roots.

I also throw a zip loc bag over them to keep the humidity high and the warmth inside.

Keep most chemicals out of the water until they start to show roots, h2o2, clonex, ph up or down. give them reg. tap water.

Ok, I'm gonna use plain RO water along with Superthrive, and put an humidity dome. Luckily I have another node to chop off and prep again. I'm using an Oxystone along with a HO Air pump from sunleaves and there're massive bubbles bursting the surface, do you reckon I need some misters in? I have the EZ cloner Red ones but was saving them for the aero cloner

Keep the dome steamed up,you shouldnt need to water as it dropes back in to the rockwool.
To much TLC,leave nutes, just use clonex and water in high humidity dome.

Ok, I'm gonna try all this, what should be the first sign I'm doing it right?, since I'm using no media I can check the stems daily

In your original post you said 'white membrane is growing on the stems. is this pythium'. Sounds more like incipient roots to me. Are you sure you aren't just being impatient? I've had cuttings take 3 weeks before showing anything and you are on day 6.

Hadn't this be my sixth time I'd say I'm being so. But no dude I wish I were :(.

So, no RO water then? just plain tap? if this works I'd be saving a lot of $$

Some of my OGs take up to 3 weeks to root,I believe your a little impatient.I taught a buddy how to clone over the phone.Once you get it down you wont believe how easy it is.

.I dont use clonex solution,it does absolutly nothing..plain ph balanced water bro

If you teach me I'll write you a check lol! Although I need at least 2 more weeks for the moms to be ready to clone again

That's perfect timing! I'll leave the ones I have in the cloner untouched and take a new batch in 2 weeks. Should I dispose the current solution and add just tap water? I'd feel save adding a little H2O2 as last time I did it using plain RO and SuperT I got pythium all over the net pots

also the more nodes u have below the neopreme or in the rockwool cubes gives moe places for root groth to start. u may already know this, but good luck
