Help with cloning(homemade aero)

Hey guys would appreciate some critiques to help achieve success in cloning, any input is welcome since this is my first try using this method, second attempt at cloning
first one was in rockwool, also failed hard, got no roots with 25 clones

those pics attached are my results(or lack of) after 25 days, for the first 10-15 day they looked amazing, no drooping or yellowing, them they started to degrade gradually to the point they are now
water is always between 25-27c(77-80f)
cuts where diped in iba powder and put in water for around a hour before going into the cloner
i´m using tap water that comes out around 80-90ppm
pump on a 15min on-off schedule
no nutrients, ph stable at 6.0 without any need to correct after first few days, did not need to top the water either, water thread with 0,8ml/L of 80% h2o2 every 5 days
ambient temp ranges from 26-28c(78,8-82,4f) and humidity is 60-70%
lighting is done by a cheap 15w led bulb hang 20cm(8in) from top of clones, 24h of light after 8h of darkness from the time they where cut
cant notice any build up of sludge in the stems, only some browning, so i´m not sure if the problem is contamination

my 2 mother plants are ready for cutting again, thinking about using mineral water now and ditching the h2o2 to use calcium hypochlorite

sorry for any broken english, its not my native language.

They dont look so good, what is the pump timing? oh never mind saw it.Why the h202? just use plain tap and change out every 5-7 days.

I'll try and help with this...I struggled too but now am getting near 100% within 2 weeks.

I can tell you did some research because you are doing most things right!! Here's how I was taught and what I do using an aero cloner, but your setup is fine.

I use RO water in the cloner, and I use pool shock to keep it sterile.

I mix up a gallon of the pool shock, which lasts a long time. To make your shock, take 2 grams of 73% sodium hypochlorite and dilute it in 1 gallon of water, and then add 15 ml of this solution every 3 days to your cloner, starting from day 1. This will keep things sterile.

Your temps might be just a tad too high...Shoot for 70-75 f....A cycle timer like you use is a good idea. I use a 4 on 1 off cycle timer, or if I need more heat I let the pump run 24/7.

I also use Dip n Grow as a rooting agent, and I dip my cuttings in it for 10 seconds before they go in the cloner.

No nutes, no humidity dome, low light, and you should have great roots in 2 weeks!!

The Dip n Grow is not imperative I have been told, but it was recommended and works great for me, and it's not expensive. You should be able to get roots without any rooting agent however...I think the temp and keeping bacteria at bay are key.

Good luck and let me know if you have questions!!

Sounds good but if they are loaded with nitrogen it will increase rooting time
No problem otherwise
Just don’t get discouraged after seven day…
Going to go a little easier on nitrogen for the moms for a week before cutting again

I bet the h2o2 is too strong. Just try again with plain water and dont use any cloning powder, just soak the cut ends for a couple hours before putting them in your cloner.
Using the h2o2 close to whats recommended in Ab fukt(i thinks that's it) cloning thread, he uses 1ml/L of 80% on his plants, true he clones using rockwool, but i don't think it matters in this regard

Cant get Dip n Grow where i live, and getting a RO filtration system just for cloning is a no go
does the water temps really matter if the res is sterile? aside from extremes of course, in my research i found that low water temps are only for inhibiting bacteria propagation, to go any lower i would need to start working with frozen water bottles, a chiller would be too expensive here
going to try your formula for the calcium hypochlorite instead of the h2o2, thanks

Whatever you do, DO NOT allow H2O2 to mix with the pool shock. Chlorine gas is goodbye in any language. Empty your res and rinse before adding the pool shock.

Try to have sprayers/misters not hit plant directly or let them run short on periods and long off times between...gives the roots some "dry out" time.
I think things are staying too wet for too long...kind of like over watering in soil.
Just a thought...best of luck and happy growin' :P

I'm hoping to grow some cuts from a Tropicana Cookie F2 & decided to ditch my aero & just use peat pellets. I took my cuts off the top because I need to top the plants. My 3 cuts were much larger than yours. I dipped them in rooting gel first then into rooting powder. I put them under a flouro & sprayed them several times a day but they didn't look too strong. One croaked. Then I put a mister under the dome and they just sprang back to life & look strong now.

Clones in a bubble cloner are soaking wet 24/7,if anything hes too dry.

The temp is probably the most important thing I have heard.

I think bottled water would be fine if you can't get RO, just avoid well water I was told.

Your stems look like they've been bleached from the H2o2. Just try it with plain water first and change out the water after 7 days like mentioned. you should get be getting root nubs in under 10 days with a clone machine.

iba forms a callus i think thats why it turns white and i guess that callus protects from bacterial and fungal problems but also it takes longer to root with iba way longer i’m about to give up on a couple of clones myself i usually don’t use iba but been having some fungal problems so gave it a go the clones themselves look very healthy bu no roots after 15 days which is odd without iba i usually get a lot of root formation so maybe dont use iba if running a sterile res with pool shock etc.
