What's it matter how long you wait. After I got my card I still got banned from working. Unless I take painkillers and have no weed in my system, well I got banned from even being a janitor with companies like manpower and prologistix for 6 months. Sorry but then the dispense is charging more than double the price for the same bud and also I am going to get fined and in my case go to jail if I were to like liberty haze and attempt to grow my own bush at home. So I am not allowed to work. I get ridiculous prices. Then if I were to choose to have my baby bush at home I still go to jail. It's even more frustrating when they decide to couple my hopes of liberation with a tax to drive. What a headache!

I got My Renewal Form in The Mail. I can only Renew for a Year at a Time. I thought Since Doctor Approval was good for 3 years, I could pay for 2 more Years. The Letter only has pricing option for one year. I Originally wanted to do the 3 year, but had Already spent $385 just to Apply.View attachment 4251170

Even if it was recreationally legal, your work could still decide that they have a policy. If it’s that much of a headache, or your that unhappy with it, don’t do it. You can only go 3 years on a Dr's certification. You've already used up one of those years so 3 years wouldn't be an option. Whether or not you can select 2 years online I don't know, but if you can it will be $100/yr.

Even though I don't believe the IDPH and the Illinois MMJ program are the cause of the problems you describe, there is a complaint department there that would be a more appropriate venue for you to vent:

We're in a pilot program. Nationally legalization is pre-infancy. People can't expect this to happen without some bumps. Removing the stigma and brainwashing of the last 100 years is going to take a while.
Legal anything has rarely meant you can test positive and keep your job. For a while the fad was to fire people for testing positive for nicotine until that proved to be a problem with unemployment numbers. Unemployment numbers isn't going to be an issue for 25,000 active patients many of whom are too sick to be employed in the first place. Maybe allowing employers to fire for testing positive for cannabis will change after legalization and enough people lose their job for trying it a week ago. But that's not now. Don't get a card unless you know your job is safe or you're so sick a job is the least of your worries.
I do find it odd how a large majority of patients have used cannabis illegally at some point in life and managed to keep jobs. I never considered taking a job that drug tested even after I quit because I've always seen it as an infringement.

You are mistaken. You can't be fired for having a card. You can be fired for testing positive even in a zero tolerance situation (which most likely means you can have a card but you can't use it). Calling over and over, back to back, doesn’t usually work. I usually call 4-5 times, and if I get the busy signal I stop and start either 30 or 60 minutes later. And usually goes through. I think they have certain times of the hour open for calls...just my guess tho.

depends on the job , I drove a truck for 10 years and was tested /UA/ often. I didn't mind , but I didn't use any drugs either.
