Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

Sent to the printer: 5/18
Total days so far: 85

I literally called them the day it was sent for printing. A week ago yesterday. So I know it’s coming...it’s just an “Any Day Now” sorta thing and it’s depressing each time I get my Informed Delivery and it’s not there.
 
As an aside, I’m planning on staying here in this forum once I finally get my card so I can “pay it forward” to others going thru the process. This thread has been such a great place to both get advice or just vent about how backwards our state is about MMJ. I started watching here in January, before I even had found a doctor yet, and it’s become a daily solace as I wait.

Until they simplify the process or pass recreational laws, we all need support. Especially those in pain. I’ve got a lot of pills to manage my issues during this, but I know there’s some of you out there who literally are suffering with no medication at all. I feel for you, and this thread “gets it” about how such a stupidly long process we have in IL.

Keep this in mind at the voting booth in November. Vote for whoever supports full legalization. Cook County had a non-binding referendum during the primary showing 68% want it legalized completely, and some state officials have said they want it too. Our current governor, though, is a naive ass who would never allow it. So definitely show up to the polls next fall.

Maybe in a couple years, this whole stupid process will be scrapped for something easier. God I hope so.

If mine follows the same pattern, I should get it by late next week. I’m still hoping for before June, but with June 1st less than a week away I’m becoming a bit discouraged that’ll happen.

To anyone who has already received their card, when in that 10-14 days did you get yours? The next business day for me, Tuesday, will be 6. If I have to wait the full 14 days, that takes me to June 8th. Geez, when I put that in writing it makes it sound eons from now.

I didn’t get mine either - the poorly scanned item was a stupid catalog. It does seem like the last leg of the wait is the hardest!
 
Sorry if this was already covered but for people waiting- have you tried CBD for any symptoms? Where are trustworthy places to purchase? Which brands are dependable?
 
Hope everyone has/had a great holiday. Hot & sunny all weekend...gonna be a hot Midwest summer this year, I think.

Doing my best to not think about the loss of a mail day today. Still have 5 chances this week for my card. Based on what folks are saying, it’s literally any day now. Still looking forward to high times this summer. bongsmilie
