This is not Europe, people get paid < $3.00/hour to wait on you.

When you fuck them over you are a dick.

My friend has only found a job as a waiter & he has a kid on the way.

He gets stiffed all the time, some people leave only the change(and I mean coins) they get back from the bill.

If you can not incorporate at least a 10% tip don't eat out.

For reference the average dinner for 2 at this restaurant is $30

If you don't leave $3 your a dick
 
It's their choice to work there or not, I should pay them an additional 10% to do their job of writing an order down and carrying a couple plates?

BTW tipped employees ALWAYS make minimum wage or more. All tips are required to be on the books, if the monthly wage doesn't come to minimum wage, the employer is obligated by law to make up the difference.

Ya around here wait staff are paid minimum wage 10.25 but require to share their tips with everyone, they are suppose to hand in their tips and the managers divide the grand total, even at Tim Hortons they do this

Here they get less than 3$ an hour some places and work for tips.
 
ok i started bitching, i was thinking of taco bell. but 3 bucks WTF cant stick a crow bar in your wallet? i stated once an another tip forum my burger meal cost 10 dollars big patty tons of frys pick wedge 3 refills. the other person had like 8-10 (dont want to lie about price) i left 15 bucks for the dude. or was it 10 fuck it. all wait staff need pot cash help a stoner out. shit did i say that on my last one also . who cares. if you only have 10 bucks to eat out just for your self. stick to a fast food joint. no not fast food that includes a joint with their meal no not fast food and a joint just fast food. all though thats totally up to you. personally id like to find a place that gives you a doobie with your fries.Mcdonalds new offical slogan- i get fryed on fries
 
I always tip very well whenever I go out to eat. I make it a point as a matter of fact. I always double the tax and add a dollar for good/average service or if I personally liked the waiter. If the service was really good I add 2 or more dollars extra over that. I like to tip well. They are trying to make a living and doing you a service. Don't be a dick. Tip your waiter or waitress, especially if they were good.
 
I love that movie.

But to be honest I tip 50-75% every time. I throw the money in the little black thing, they pick it up and ask if I want change, I say no...

And then 2 minutes later when they go to open it up, they end up coming back to make sure I don't want change.

stoped reading when i got to just before this sentence, then went back and saw the asian bribe thing. still would give people money. ive given bums plenty of cash, but what pisses me off the most to this day, is a time when i was being told by god to give a bum 20 bucks after a cop pulled him over and took his sign he was sitting on the curb and i could have just gone up and given him the cash in front of the cop and didnt. i still feel like shit for not doing it.

i always tip really good at restaurants and bars. 20%+. Drivers and starbucks, i am very cheap. they make minimum wage

when i was a waitress/bartender, i didn't make even close to minimum wage. i got a shift pay that was low and i split tips with the other bartender.
