Diy hps? Why? you can get 1000w ballasts under $100, cheap reflectors like $30-40 open, $60 or so for the cool tubes. They're good if you're starting out on a budget and want to grow enough to smoke unreasonable quantities I'm making the switch soon but I'll probably still run hps in the winter. I can't believe what some of yall pay for electric. I complain about my bill and my shits like 9 cents/kwh.
