Here's my original drawing from way back when, ignore the dimmer at the fans shouldn't be on the positive wire from what I understand

After looking at that it clicked, that's right

Go to SupraSPLs diy how to power... stickied thread and in the first 5 pages or so there's a picture of his drivers and terminals, it's a mess but it'll give you some comfort.

Hey guys!

So I'm having a hard time choosing my grow lights. I have narrowed it down to Mars Hydro 600's but I would like some others to consider since it's hard finding good quality LED lighting. Considering my grow space and preference I want to stick to LED's.

4x Mars Hydro 600

-272W±5%
-Light Coverage: 2.5*2ft( Veg),2*1.5ft(Flowering)
- Lumens: 9122lm±5%
PER UNIT

I drew up a 3D model of my grow space and DWC buckets with 2 different light choices and the red showing their light coverage over the buckets (plants).

I'm just trying to see if my grow space will be worth it or not, in the model the grow space extends to the right to make it a "L" shape but that right side is a 1'+ shorter in height with about the same length and width as the portion of the model I did draw.

Should I just use a Sun system LEC 315 instead?

I will be growing my plants short using the manifolding technique trying to keep them short and bushy and lots of colas. Please let me know if anyone has any thoughts/opinions! Thanks

greenluv420- avoid Mars or any other light that hints to a giving wattage but draws less. Any of these type of lights are GARBAGE. They are much better choices and you have come to the right place to find a light that will truly blow you away.

And that's why I came here!! haha. I skimmed some pages but sadly I don't have time to go through all 500 pages of this thread lol. It's so hard choosing the right LED light, I have a budget around $500 and just want the best possible

Look at Cutter in Australia
Pacific Light Concepts
Timber Grow Lights

I've been finding my way through this topic in the past couple of days... All these places do kits of Cree cobs. Just go for 3500K temperature too...

I feel like those are too powerful for me since my grow space is just under 5 ft tall and with these lights I'd have under 3' of grow space considering the DWC buckets and the distance needed from the lights. I feel like lower wattage individual LED's would be better than 2 high power lamps.

those do look nice but according to their information I would need more than one of the T3-2100 -w- reflectors and that's already $530 :/

Sure are a lot of DIY lights built on Vero 29s! Cree is King, but Bridgelux chips are quite good also. Maybe you don't like them for some reason, doesn't make them bad.

And at less than $20 each? Its a bargain and its no more out of date than CXA 3070s which a lot of people still use!

I did post my question - 60x60 micro grow. I want an LED solution to replace the current 400w HPS.

I'm new to LED and want help choosing what to buy.
Oh, they are just crap right now, sort of a generation behind everybody else.

Your plan is a good one, wait for the update.
