Although LED grows exist as an option , most will have to look at real world grows done by others. It depends on what the grower wants ( muti plant or small closet grows ).. LEDS are a good choice for budget / small grows . It's better to see the plants from growers yo decide if this is the option that BEST FITS their needs.
Don't try to back track from what you said. I never said LED's were a bad option, I've been using them myself, for years now. What I pointed out is that you tried to slip some shitty brand name LED's into the "middle of the road" category, where they don't belong. Don't spread false info.

Try DECAF , nobody is backtracking , the names I dropped are what's out there ( shitty or not ) so do yourself a favor and don't get butt hurt , maybe if you replied to that post yourself maybe you could have piped in , but since you didn't , move on.

What would you say are some good brands?

The good brands of LED are Apache Tech and Area 51.
Middle of the road would be something like California Light Works.
Low end stuff is Mars Hydro, Apollo, anything on Ebay with no name.
COB's are killing it now, so LED's are becoming less cost effective, in comparison.

Hmmm, who needs decaf? All I said don't spread false info about inferoir LED brands on this forum, which is exactly what you were doing. Try trolling elsewhere, junior.

I can't believe how many companies there are out there! Are these guys just importing the LEDs by the truck load, putting them together and reselling at 1000% markup? I went back and scratched all those big box companies i assumed were legit. i feel kind'a bad because i don't know for sure, but judging by the comments from different forums and other growers i decided to check out the following (looks like i need to add Apache and Area 51 to this list- emailing them now):

Heavenbright (waiting on a reply)
Platinum
Amaretech
Advanced
Optics
Transcend

Once I get replies from everyone, along with models of their products they recommend (tents- two 9x9s for flower and one 4x8 for veg) I want to print out specs for each light and compare them. If anyone has any data that will help me to save time please let me know I'd really appreciate it as i wanna do this within 2 weeks to build out in August.

One thing that I look for in a company is will they be around in 5 years.. it's hard to tell with a lot of these guys- who owns them, how dedicated they are, how they communicate, and you can only guess at how good/bad their financials are. Sometimes just looking at the websites it's hard to tell if they're trying to save money and passing those expenses down to their customers, or if they're struggling to get by. I mean c'mon a yahoo.com email address? NOT to sound superficial but that's not how I'd do business in a market so competitive. Optic seems to be a good product and prices are awesome. I was pretty impressed at a few of these guys getting back to me within one business day, but Optic replied that same day and followed up quick too. So what's left is to compare the details of all these lights, cross reference to find the best specs (hopefully they are accurate). Opinions from you all in the know is crucial to me, experiences etc. I know the amount being spent is a drop in the bucket but I wanna make the right choice, we're starting with only 250sq ft but if LED works I'm going to use the whole 2,000sq ft available to me as I scale up. Veg, flower, mothers, males, CBD only, breeding.. .long way to go but that's my dream, and doing it with LED would be awesome.

Do you think CLW used to much wattage for the size of the case? What do u think of the optics on that? Does that have optics?
The light is supposed to be a 600 want hps replacement. It does put out considerable heat not as much as I would expect a 600 watt HPS does. I'm sorry I don't know what you mean by optics

The 880 is claimed to be a 1000 watt replacement? The 440 they claim is 600 replacement? I not sure though just asking?CLW uses a lense with no optics!
U ever thought about trying vero?

Bonjour
Go for the cxb 3590 3500K cd!
You will enjoy it, and diy is easier than you think (when you have the good threads and peoples in it...)
Have a great day ★

Will this 18-2 wire work to string together 5 cxa 3070's running @1050mAh? It's really rigid which I like and its small enough I shouldn't have much trouble getting it into the cob holders that I have. Thanks for any educated opinions you can shoot my way.IMG_20150726_100724.jpg

Amazon.com but through advance option amazon charges about 10$ more
I asked because the issue in the past has been that the ones on Amazon are knock-offs.
I would say Advanced LED is decent, middle of the road, but over priced.
The knock-offs on Amazon are part of the low end junk pile.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say that you bought it through "Advance Option" on Amazon. Could you please clarify what that is?
