If "Organic" Includes Bottled Ferts, What Is Plain 'Ol Soil Called?

I would say that all the fabric pots are great. As long as there not super thin you should be fine. The reason you don't want the thin ones is becaues a lot of water just escapes threw the sides of the pot, the thicker double layer ones seem to keep it in the back better.

It's actually rather easy to transplant out of smarties. Grap the fabric at the top, roll it over, pull down and transplant. Works well and easy on the roots. I think I paid about 7 bucks a piece. I'm curious about the velcro on the geos... is the velcro on there to hold the bottom of the pot in place? Made in USA talks to me...
The bottom is secure to the side. The velcro open up from the top to the base, but does not include the base.

Rrog- Blumats and Tensiometer's are new to me. I am currently in 7 gallon Smartie's but may go to larger pots in the future. Can you point me in the right direction for specifics on a set-up please (How many, what size, etc.)? Does the tensiometer act like a switch? Is there a reservoir?

Blumats is the irrigation system. Tensiometers are a separate measuring device. ICMag has the best thread on blumats.

I don't use reservoirs but many do. These things can clog, so for me, clean water is all I'd run thru them.

Thank you Rrog for pointing me in the right direction. I'll check it out soon. I'm currently working on getting through the ICMag 526 page ROLS thread, which I'm currently on page 78. Great read....
