If humans were born with a suicide button that gave you instant death with no pain...

I would guess that most people if they're to be honest, would answer yes to entertaining the idea at least. To live in this world takes a lot of fortitude, to be constantly criticized, bombarded with input that you need to change who you are. During your whole childhood you've been told you're a princess or a handsome knight, only to bashed upside the head when reality comes crashing down on you in your teenage life. Crawling your way into adulthood, bloodied and bruised, left with scars so deep you wonder if they will ever truly heal. Yes a suicide button would have been an easier way to deal with some of the trials in my life, and yes there were a couple times I would have pushed it.

But my life, my novel, is a good one and I will finish it on my terms.

Sorry about your loss NJska, I've lost many friends and loved ones due to self inflicted wounds and its tough to wrap your head around. Keep your chin pointed forward my man.
Thanks man. 29 years old. He threw himself in front of a train. We're finding out he had post traumatic stress. He hid it from everyone but his girlfriend apparently. The same girlfriend that had to go identify his body. I guarantee that thought never crossed his mind. I can't imagine what she's going through.

He didn't end any suffering, just spread it around.

I guarantee that it did. And why do you consider his suffering to be without weight? cn
