I only said a word in this thread, after 8pm I believe. The difficulties in question were mentioned at 7pm.

i keep getting notifications, so I respond. I chalked this up to a difference of opinion hours ago.

I'm not trying to distort. I was trying to understand. Why is it not alright with you that we view the situation differently?

You are distorting, and with the sort of skill and economy that informs me it is deliberate on your part. Partial credit though for that workmanlike slur at the end. It does not distract, however, from the fact that this is a discussion about morality. Other prigs I have known bring the same combo: utter moral confidence combined with a serious lack of interest in discussing that confidence objectively.

The OP posted an article, during which he noted he disagreed with the conclusions, and asked what the board thought. In essence a number of us agreed and started to question funding, expertise and motive for the paper by the authors. He then got upset and it degenerated from there when upon he started doubling down on ad hominems and obtuseness. You, @Xiu, said you read it all. Therefore I can't help but think that you would've defended the US gov't against the natives when they got upset at the gov'ts mistreatment of them

That escalated quickly, now I would have helped defeat indigenous populations? I don’t have to agree with someone’s politics or opinions to think it’s shitty to make fun of their personal life.

I think it’s shitty. That’s it that’s all. I’m the only one that thinks this, totally fine. We should agree to disagree. Which I tried to do awhile ago.
