Actually I used to use a long butchers knife to cut roots when I used plastic buckets. Insert halfway between the plant and the side of the bucket in multiple places occasionally. The severed roots heal and then fork just like when you top.

its called aerotion like what farmers do when ploughing the field but you only need to do the first 2-4 inchesLol. Clickbait. I really did this though. I was in some thread the other day and dont remember who said it or what thread it was but someone mentioned using something to stab through your soil all the way to the bottom of the pot to help get water and nutes and more oxygen evenly to the roots and figured I'd try this on my next feed. Well my feed was 4 days ago and I took a skewer and just stabbed the shit out of the soil and root ball in there. Prolly 25 times per plant. I could feel the roots break as I stabbed down and thought "great, I'm gonna kill these beauties." Its been 4 days after now and 2 waterings in and the girls look wayyy happier than they did previously (which was pretty damn happy) and I'm very surprised and pleased with the results. So props and thank you to whoever's idea I stole here. And maybe this will help out some other growers out there. Happy growing.View attachment 4368997
