yes it matters you will need to re-pot and bury the stems. So you agree him saying to start over is a bit drastic?
And does it matter if I re-pot them and bury the long stems all the way up to the first set of leaves?

I think I have too many plants in there for the amount of light that I am using. If I sex them, re-pot them, weed out the males and only grow the best looking 4-5 plants under this 400 HPS do you think they are saveable?yes it matters you will need to re-pot and bury the stems.

yes of course they are saveable but you dont really want to transplant fully flowering plants so if you let them keep vegging untill you see pre-flowersI think I have too many plants in there for the amount of light that I am using. Thank you VERY much guys. I'm going to transplant them into some bigger pots and let them veg for a while longer.
what would be a normal yield with 6 good females under a 400w HPS?
lst might help but those stems are very thin if it was my plants i would transplant them now to avoid damage by snapping them by trying lst andI think I would transplant before switching your light cycle and trying to sex them thats my opinion for I am worried of adding uneeded stress to the plant during flowering.. I also think if you decide not to transplant you could start a lst wich will thicken that stem up pretty fast as well. And may encourage some lower growth. Any thoughts on this luda?
I am definitely going to transplant tomorrow and bury the stems up to the first set of leaves.lst might help but those stems are very thin if it was my plants i would transplant them now to avoid damage by snapping them by trying lst and
bury them up to the top of the stems and get the lights much closer and switch to 24/0.
but thats just what i would do.

Is the 18-6 cycle I'm on right now ok?
stick to 18/6 as you have started with that it is ok but get the lamp much closer and get them together as shown in my pics if it was me after transplanting i would keep on 18/6 as going from 18/6 to 24/0 will cause some stress and possible hermies.what would be a normal yield with 6 good females under a 400w HPS?

and as for yeild that can never be estimated no matter what anyone says its down to the grower and the growing environment and plant development and gardening care as every garden and growers situations and experiences and methods are different.
the more you put in the more you will yeild.

regular potting soil is perfect (nute free).Ok, I have decided to transplant into some much bigger pots. I have another question, though. The soil that I used to begin with was regular potting soil with no nutes because I figured I could add them myself and didn't want to burn the seedlings. Now that the plants are several weeks old, what kind of soil should I use? A .5-.5-.5 cow manure or something even stronger?
Thanks in advance.
Ok Luda, i just trash the boy! but my hart was broken)))) it was the most beautiful plant out of all((((((
Ok, regular soil it is. Is the 24-8-16 MG I am using ok? And should I continue using once I go to 12/12 or discontinue after they are flowering?regular potting soil is perfect (nute free).
i use regular top soil (nute free).
then add your nutes after transplanting.
works exellent.
