I'm a Cajun, I eat rice with almost everything.I make some awesome fuckin rice though fellas.

I remember Thai sticks - buds with red cotton like stuff wound round it - I think they were £20 each which was a lot when you could get a quarter of red leb for £8

I hate how noodles get squishy if they're in a hot sauce.
I love some mexican rice or any indian basmati rice preparation
But I'd rather have macaroni and cheese than cheesy rice.

Who makes a thread about noodles vs rice.. awesome!

Also...rice swells up in your stomach after eating it...turning what could be a pleasant evening of gorging into some sort of vomit-inspired nightmare...

I like sushi and sashimi too, but gotta make it myself 'cause I've only found one decent place here that does it fresh enough for me.
Chinese rest., run by 2 Chinese sisters, with an old school Japanese chef, and I always go in and greet him so he knows it's for me :)
I still haven't been able to find any fish to my liking to make my own sashimi though.
(He smokes too LOL)
 
As awesome as noodles are I just remember how versatile rice is. You can make flour with it, rice puding, use it to clean glass bottles...... MOCHI!!!! I'm a sucker for daifuku

UGH! I remember going to my uncle's store when I lived in Cali., and every wednesday, he made fresh sushi to sell, and we would usually get some, but my mother liked mochi for some reason, but I never did get to liking it.
