There's a simple mathmatical equation to find out if LED's really work. If they did then thousands of people would report awesome results with them and they would be the standard of lighting instead of HID. Maybe in about 2-3 years when the tech updates and the LED's actually do penetrate the canopy we will have something. Also the cheap Ebay panels use 1 watt LED's vs. 5 Watt LED's in the expensive panels. Im sticking with my 250 MH/HPS Lumatek for now until there's some proven results that I feel comfortable with.

I solved the LED/Heat problem...... I went out and bought a Hydrofarm Daystar Air Cooled hood for my 400w HPS. I hooked up the 6" ducting and a Hydrofarm 6" 188cfm fan to pull air through the sealed hood, and now temps dont exceed 78 degrees in a very small room. Problem solved... Dont fuck with leds until they are as efficient as this awesome 400w system I have now. I learned my lesson.
