INTRODUCING THE 240-WATT 7-BAND LED PANEL! HIGH POWER 3-WATT LED CHIPS! 240 watts of LED POWER This is the newest of the new, the 7-Band LED Grow Light. This is a powerful grow light that will grow great plants from start to finish! BETTER THAN THE REST!

BRIGHTER / HIGHER OUTPUT - The 7-BAND LED PANEL utilizes 80 THREE-WATT LED CHIPS for unsurpassed light intensity - this is one SUPER BRIGHT LED GROW LIGHT! This is MORE POWER for increased plant growth! Beware of other 1-watt LED chips as they do not possess the light intensity needed for vigourous plant growth and hardy plant development.

WIDER SPECTRUM - The 7-BAND LED PANEL has SEVEN LIGHT SPECTRUMS to help your plants grow to their full potential! 660nm Deep Red for Chlorophyll A, 630nm Bright Red for Chlorophyll B, 460nm Bright Blue for Chlorophyll B, 430nm Deep Blue for Chlorophyll A, 10,000 Kelvin White/Blue spectrum to fill out a complete light spectrum needed for plants to grow properly, 390 nm UV Light and 850nm InfraRed (IR) Spectrum for VIGOR and Mold/Mildew Prevention

LED EFFICEINCY - Compared to standard Fluorescent and High Intensity Discharge (HID) grow lighting technology, the 7-BAND LED PANEL offers lower energy consumption and higher watt-to-plant growth ratios. This means it uses less electricity to grow plants than other common sources because the light spectrums on the 7-BAND LED PANEL are custom tailored for plant growth! LED Diodes operate at a 90 degree angle.

LOW HEAT - The 7-BAND LED PANEL emits much less heat than traditional grow light sources (floro,HID,etc) creating a much more efficient and manageable indoor garden.

Specs & Features:

  • Low Profile: 16" long x 8.5" wide x 2.5" thck
  • 6' grounded power cord
  • Wire hanging kit included
  • As of July 21st, 2015 this unit will come with a 90 day warranty
is this light worth keeping or should i return it. the grow tent is 2'x3'x5' any input would be greatly appricated

A 90 day warranty give you a pretty good indication of the quality of the light. I'll bet it's prorated, too.

Does it actually pull 240W from the wall? If so, I'd consider it about equivalent to a 240W light.

Definitely less than a pound.

sounds like i should take this thing back
You could probably do better. I'm still old school but I pay a passing interest in the led forums and I know a good led is expensive. Way expensive. If you can DIY, you can drop way expensive to just expensive.
It's a crime the way these shady companies hawk this stuff and get people's hopes up.
Bone up in the LED forums to see what's what. LED is the future, someday people will look back at HID and laugh at our primitive sledge hammers.

Thanks Lo Budget for the positive Reply. off to go study. I have a 600 and 2 400 ballast to suppliment if needed but i was hoping to get a decent yield from the LED.

See the LED EFFICENCY Bullet?

Notice it gives zero data.
It's the cheap 3w LEDs that are similar efficiency as hid.

Take it back or use it for germinating/cloning

At least you now have an idea of how to get started. There are experts here, smoke a bowl on their behalf, they saved you some money. Because LED is the (foreseeable) future, any investment you make educating yourself will not be wasted effort, IMO.
Even if you chose not to build your own, you'll be better able to separate fact from fiction and get good value for your money.

That day is coming sooner than you think. I predict that by 2020, you'll have a tough time giving away those precious HID lamps and fixtures.

I'm dipping into COB LED lighting big time. My only concern is whether I'm going all in on LED this year or next.

You're probably right. I think we may be able to tailor output to specific needs, too. Not just for plants in general but to increase various specific terpenses and cannabinoids, etc. Just push a slider on your phone app to adjust the lighting for "moar thc!!!!" xD

I'd return if possible to get full money back.

How good are you at simple soldering?

Usually they don't pull the amount they're listed at.

My bet is 160w pull max.

How much was it?
