i have a hard time deciding between t5 and hps 600w cool hood

What's your thoughts on the agromax pure par bulbs? I switched out from a mix of 54K and the agromax 10K' "finishers" over my veg and noticed the growth became much thicker and tighter node spacing....pretty impressed.
 
Thanks for the info. I'm starting a new veg room and the cheap eBay Mars hydro LEDs were my only choice since I had them. The above pic of the t5's looked badass being blue and red never mind much more functional.
 
There is mixed specs on the 3000k spectrum some company's say soft white while others mention slight red

cool, I'd like to see some other reviews. I have no way of really quantifying anything, just my personal casual observations. Where did the T5 thread go talking about the different bulb options, such as what aquarium bulbs to use, etc?..I remember pet flora i think, big green fuzzy ball as a avatar.. being heavily involved in it..is it club T5..that didn't look familiar..

Hey just wunderin. Im in the mids of making a 4'L x 4'W x 8'T. I was in searchin for lighting aswell. What would you recomend? It needs to be cost effeci t because im only growing for myself. No profit.

I would go with a 600 watt hps if your gonna grow then grow right t5's are for vegging imo... Here's my 600 flowers tell my about quality lolimage.jpeg

But at the end it's your personal choice... I run 6-600 hps watts for flower and 3-400 mh for. Vegg. I think if your gonna spend the time and money into lights etc and nutes do it right.. Good luck
 
Now compare prices for 600W worth of light from a T5 and a HPS. Im not saying T5's dont produce quality flowers, but the cost to get 600W of comparable light to that of an HPS for initial cost is apples to oranges.

True that a 600W HPS is cheaper, my T5 set up cost just under $700 with all the fancy bulbs. But let me ask this ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Ever been offered $50 a gram for bud ?
 
But really don't matter brother you use ur t5's I'll use my hps like 90% of the people do check out some commercial grows see if they use t5's sure they would know and if it was better sure they would there cheaper to run and less heat but they don't I wonder why?
