Hey I really enjoyed reading your progress so far, your evolving for sure. I’m a newbie myself but if I had any tips it would be go lighter on the nutrients you water in, and slowly increase until they can handle it.
I can’t wait to see how round 3 turns out!

I'm organic, but yes, you are absolutely correct. I've had moments I just wanted to throw everything on my shelf into the pots. Trying to get better. Thank you.

You can just use the all purpose 444 and the power bloom 284. They work great. I also add some neam meal, oyster shell flour and dolomite lime. When mixing up your soil you can do 100 % 444 or you can mix in a percentage of the 284. Then top dress when needed and throughout flower you use a mix of 444 and 284 like 50/50 for first top dress at week one or two then every week or two top dress adding more 284 each time and less 444, at around week 4/5 it should be 100% power bloom 284.

Nah that's good, just don't let it cover your plant. Let it grow out some. Their roots will help create more life in the soil. Let it grow out a bit and chop it. Also add some mulch. :bigjoint:

I've been chopping away, won't do it so close to the seedling again.

I honestly haven't came up with a feeding plan yet. Nearing week three for the six plants to the right side of the tent and week two for the other three. I have all of the dry amendments I could ever need, just need to feed them the right amounts I guess.

If you're using the 444 I think it's pretty close to the bas craft blend. I was doing a 1/4 cup every 2 weeks with ewc in 3 gal. and they were green and happy. Don't forget the mulch. That's very important.

Sounds like a plan. How much ewc we're you doing?

Mulch? You don't think the cover crop is suffice? I do have some straw lying around though.

I was using about a cup and a half.

I can see bare soil so no its not enough. Most of the cover crop will grow thru the mulch. I usually have at least an inch thick of straw. It helps keep in the moisture at the surface of the soil. You'll be putting dry amendments, ewc/compost on top, so that's where all the action is taking place. Moisture is one of the keys to keeping that action going. So 5% water to soil volume, until it gets bigger then progressively up it, and mulch to help keep moisture at the surface and you'll be golden. Also cannabis prefers fungally dominant soil, sprinkle some kashi on top of your dry amendments, ewc/compost, under the mulch, and you'll get mycelium. It'll help break down all that organic matter from your feedings, faster, and it's another important reason for mulch. It doesn't like light.

Also, when you defoliate, chop it up a bit, and use that with the mulch. They'll add food back to the soil along with the straw.

One gallon of water with seaweed/kelp & molasses into the 9 pots evenly as I could Tuesday. They looked great afterwards.

Friday evening I watered them again the same way, and an hour later each one of them looked horribly overwatered.

But by 9am the next morning they looked as if nothing happened.

I don't plan on using these things long term, I'm thinking just till I get familiar with watering my plants the correct way.

I didn't top dress like I originally wanted to so I'm aiming for Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on how fast the plants drink. I'm guessing there isn't a hurry since they were transplanted into some fresh soil with compost and ewc.

Decided to pick up a 4x20(so it was written) weed barrier instead of some mulch and use that to try and keep the top soil moist.

You got the right idea bro. I used to water my 3 gallon containers with 500ml. every other day when smaller and went to everyday once they got a lil bigger. I wouldn't go more than 600ml.

The fabric is a good idea. It may be a lil to breathable? You'll have to experiment. Make up a compost tea with ewc and molasses when you have problems. A good tea usually clears up most problems.

The scale is a good idea for reference, but you'll have to let your soil get kinda dry to get your start point. Honestly if you stick to 5%, you won't have to weigh, and it should alleviate watering problems.

Now that I'm able to measure the water I may have to adopt that.

"mulch mat" the product I have was a lot cheaper though.

I believe a majority of my short comings the last two go rounds were from bad watering practices so any good recommendations will be considered.

You should watch the build a soil 10x10 series on youtube. It's very informative and detailed. He does a few different living soil methods. He has the best explanation on watering practices imo.

I've watched the channel a while back but not that specific series. I'll have to binge watch that series very soon.
I also love the YouTube channel Debacco University.

I almost lost the will to grow after the last debacle back in March... But here I am week 3½.

try not to let it get you down, it’s the past and this new grow is the future. It WILL do better :)

Humidifier was on low since lights out and woke up to my humidity being around 40%. Topped it off and raised it to a study 62%

It could be all in my head but I feel the plants are looking a little weird and plants seem so dark in color.
