I cannot clone for the life of me!

Soak everything in H2O2 to clean.
clean everything.
For me, I find the less I do the better
I take a cut, put in plug, put in aero, non PH'ed tap,
no gel or clone solution
( i have used pro tekt & kln @ 1/4 strength with good results)

and as long as temps stay about 76f, you'll have white healthy roots.

I think clean is the key

I have ProtekT but KLN is not available in my state... The instruction on EZ-clone said he uses ProtekT &KLN with a chiller set to 68F! 68F and its like putting them in the fridge

By splitting you exposed the central cylinder and xylem. You want the hormones to react with the exposed xylem to breakdown and encourage root development.
i exposed the xylem on the unsuccessful batch also by shaving off about a 3/4"-1" length of bark. actually i do that to all cuttings or "splits"

Thanks for all the replies! I think a good cleaning is #1 cause after I had 1 bad batch, it was 0% for the next 2yrs.
Good luck and for lighting actually all they need is a simple house light small single cfl.. Mine were a bit in flowering when i cut mine but i don't worry if you look at back lil girl she's a clone of a clone but funny thing is i cloned her two hours after harvesting she had NUGS ON HER and i let her go and 2 months later there she stands... Ill clone at any time it works.. with my strains i worry not..

I clone literally 1000s of plants a year, not weed but ornamentals and such in nothing but a cup of stagnant tap water, for my weed I get ultra fancy and se rockwool and cloning gel, I rarely lose a clone, and im dumb. Dumb it down to the basics and you will be fine, try to be fancy and you may not be

I agree so many put so much in this shit.. THEY FORGET ITS A FLIPPING WEEEEEEED. the mutha will grow just leave it be and watch the magic happen

https://www.rollitup.org/attachments/before-jpg.3167425/ this is my plant before i damn near had to kill this clone to save her from the flipping mites when i got her.. but look closely at the photo my plant is actually over 4 months old it took me awhile to nurse her back..

cloning is easy.take a cutting, cut it at a angle, dip in rooting gel,put in wet soil,or whatever medium you choose.shit you can even just put the cutting into a cup of water, and it should root in 7-10 days.you dont have to use a humidity dome, just mist a few times a day.

Definaltly replace those plugs they can get nasty after awhile. Run the zyme before cleaning with h202 or bleach. Just let it run through your system for a day. Through all sprayers. Replace plugs and fill with fresh water.

I have read hundreds of posts trying to figure it out. I've done aerocloning, cubes, & "just stick it in soil with tap water" with limited success.
I finally found Snype's guide to cloning & have gotten 100% each time. He takes the time & tells you step by step what to do, what they should weigh, when to do everything, & the perfect mixture.
Someone else mentioned superthrive & I think that the KEY ingredient in this method. What ever it is I have gotten 100% success. about 60 clones every 30 days. Here's a link to the page for cubes https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=268211
He also has one for aeroclonning but it didnt work very good for me, kept getting brown sludge.
Good luck

Clones came out of machine last week. Easy man. Lil spit lil bit of tap water or some Gloria's cloning food. and in 18-21 days your girls should like this...Again i started growing Jan 1 2014. When you keep it simple these are your results..image.jpgIMG_4495.JPG

Honestly surprised nobody mentioned aloe, I swear, just go get a beefy plant from a garden store (orchard supply, home depot, etc) get a big spear, squish it up until the gel is squeezing out of it, and after preparing the clone tips, smear it in there and let it sit inside the spear for about 5 seconds, plant in pre-soaked rockwool cubes, ( soak them in a bucket with a TEENSY-TINY bit of worm castings, tiny, tiny pinch of kelp, and aloe) and use a heating mat under your cloning tray, I use ONE t5 (24 watt I think) and I fill the bottom of the cloning tray with spun coconut fibers (the big stuff looks like donkey hair), then on top of that I put the rockwool/clones, it keeps them from sitting in the water, and you can add a lil water to the bottom of the tray without saturating the clones, in doing so, that in conjunction with the heating mat, slowly evaporates the water making the air VERY humid, but the rock wool not wet. Don't need to spray, cept maybe once a day, depending on your heat)
I used to have oversaturation issues (like the slime you mentioned)
Perfect for roots, and you hardly need to spray them because the humid air is enveloping them in moist air.
Then the remaining aloe you squeezed up you can suish throrughlt in about a quart of water, strain, then put that into a spray bottle, then you have an aloe spray to mist them with.
I used to have about 50-60% success rate with clones, until I got a heating mat, did the coco-hair, underneath, and used aloe, now i'm at 90-100% success rate.
also important to NOT squeeze the rock wool, in case you didn't know that.
