learn to use them properly and you'll never go back. ;)
i watch all of these fishing shows and most of the guys on them use them.. i'm ok with them, idk, i still like my old skool spinnings.. but i do have like a $200 shimano baitcaster, i guess i just need to use it more.

a good rod runs about 250 nowadays. a decent reel about 300. it's amazing the difference they make. ;)

i'm going fishing.

i'll report back this evening.

Used to use live bluegill for bait. It was like crack for largemouth's. Definately the funnest freshwater fish in my opinion. great fight, lots of acrobatic leaps and splashes. Then one day I realized, man this fish is probably in a lot of pain (it can't be that fun fighting for your life with a hook in your mouth). Haven't been on the lake since.

i'll get up pics once i wash it. it's a little older, but is water tight and runs solid. took it out yesterday and caught fish. gonna take my son out and teach him how to find the "big ones". since all i catch is little ones. :)

hit the dock at 5am. it was too dark to launch. hung out for 30 mins before i finally said "screw it" and launched anyways. it was still dark and hella foggy. i idled over to the bridge to make a few cast as the sun came up. i caught the largemouth on my 4th cast. 5 mins later i caught the smallmouth. ended up catching 9 for the morning. :hump:
