Dampen her bra, throw it in the freezer for a bit, tell her to wear it. She'll thank you for it;) Oh and cabbage leaves work well too, cooks the cabbage right on there. Owie boobs suuuuck

Yes, my kid had to wear that glowing green blanket for jaundice too. @Unclebaldrick What a cute baby! I will say it again. I love looking/holding other folks babies, but I'm done done done.

@Unclebaldrick When do you get to all go home? Any new news?
I guess these days they go with the UV LEDs. I asked about it and they work quicker than the blankets.

Thanks, we like him a lot.

I think he will come home Tuesday. Holly's back home but we spend about 80% of the day with the kid. Today we came home for a couple hours and one of our cats, a female, was checking her out from top to bottom. Despite the fact that she showed no signs of even acknowledging the pregnancy, she was completely enraptured with the baby smell on Holly. It was if she was saying "I know you have a baby - I can smell it. Where's that baby?". It was kind of like bringing a new cat in and having to quarantine it for ten days. So I guess he will have a surrogate mommy when he gets home. The boy cat will probably be more excited when the baby is old enough to play with him. The girl cat, who is a bit older, will probably like him best as a baby.

All his tests have been great lately, so we we feeling pretty good. He's starting to make eye contact with us. Yesterday he was more about checking out lighting and shapes. His eyes are this ridiculously dark gray, but we figure they will probably change. But thy are pretty cool right now. He keeps whapping himself with his IV which is attached to his right hand like an arm splint, and he kind of sings like a whale when he sleeps sometimes. I've been feeling coldish lately so I am wearing a surgical mask. I miss being able to kiss his ridiculously soft baby-skin.

We're feeling pretty fortunate right now.

Ok, we are at the hospital. Waiting. My darling is in bed with a baby heart monitor on. Everything seems good. She's not really having contractions but her water broke. I'm guessing we are not leaving here without a baby even if they have to induce. So we agreed on the first name, not quite the middle name.

So please give me your best advice for the next 30 years. You don't have to be a parent and you don't need to be serious.
Don't forget man if your baby gets a cold just put on the humidifier man get that house nice and humid and keep it nice and warm because it really can kind of be scary youll feel all thrown off and panicked and sometimes the doctor will say that they can't get anabiotic's to a child that young or whatever but they'll be okay with the steam and heat

Yeah you done good Uncle.

Neo is a good middle name.
We turned in his birth certificate papers. We actually gave him a middle name of Trilobite. Kudos for my wonderful wife for sharing my odd sense of humor. We gave him such a distinguished first name that we really had to add some "zing" to the overall name. I think we would have regretted giving him our initial middle name of Benjamin. Not that Ben Franklin wasn't a serious badass - he was. But at some point the kid would read something negative about him. There is nothing negative about Trilobites.
