Remember all the vertical hold issues? You'd get right to the important part and the entire screen would start rolling (what there was of the screen), LOL
How bout going to the drug store to buy tubes to fix your tv set ?

It was so simple back then when your tv quit working , ya just looked to see which tube wasn't glowing orange , plucked it out & got a new tube & fixed it yourself .

For the hard stuff we called the tv repairman & he'd come fix it , here's another one kids won't have a clue about .

Remember taking your shoes to the shoe repair shop to get new soles or heels put on them ?

How bout door to door salesmen ?

i still remember bread and milk man coming to the door. milk man left the milk in a special insulated container by the door. a mimeograph machine (love the smell). how about the phone guy coming the same day to fix your phone at a specified time (and he was there). docs making house calls. taking your bb gun to school for show and tell. most all young boys had a pocket knife. you only got a trophy in school if you actually did something to earn it.

OMG YES! What a blast to the past. My dad used to get taps put on my heels so I wouldn't wear them out as quick! Later to get stuff I wanted I had to work on the construction crew to earn money LOL. So I was very careful about wearing down my shoes! You shingle a roof or two, finish a few yards of concrete and suddenly those things made sense!
