I was under the impression that you add it to your res when you change the water, i change the water every 2 weeks, new water, new nuts, and now, new h2o2, are you suggesting I put it in more than that, and add the h2o2 every 3 days??
29% h202 at 3ml per gal every three days

Do not use bennies with h202

Was a user of h2o2 (10ml/gal of 3% solution), but recently switched to bleach (6 drops/gal) because it is much cheaper in the long run. Didn't observe any difference. There's a thread for bleach users around here, just use the search function.

h2o2 half-life in water can range from 8 hours to 20 days. So it depends on your specific environment.

my last set up was aero and i did not use bleach or h2o2 and i got horrible root rot in all of my plants... i was able to save one... since then i clean my res with bleach when the water is changed and i add h2o2 every other day bc i have a small res... the smaller the res the quicker the h2o2 will oxidize... after using the h2o2 even with root rot the one plant bounced back and i got about 3 oz off the lady dry weight... when used in the right amounts h2o2 does more than just kill bacteria, its like having extra bubblers in the water bc the h2o2 will actually release that extra oxygen molecule which the plants love... simple science plants love oxygen at the root zones and the more you can supply the better... i am now using a coco coir/perlite mix and doing hempy buckets so now my h2o2 schedule has changed to me using it every 3-4 days now... i use it with reg feedings and nute feedings...

By environment, I meant water temps, pH, specific metal/salt levels, light conditions, atmospheric oxygen levels and pressure/humidity, etc etc. All that stuff can/does affect it. I haven't seen anything tested for specifics though. I was saying that because it's all that's really provided, and to demonstrate the variability of the answer.

I just started using bennies and am by no means an authority on the subject, but the general recommendation I've seen is to just not mix the 2 at all. Sterilize with h2o2 in between grows, use bennies during. If you were using h2o2 and want to switch, just change your water out, rinse, add new solution with bennies/nutes and you'll be fine.

I just went on that last link and they are giving away free samples fellas. They also say that the hydrorush is food for good bene's. But we all know the outlandish claims made by nute companies.

We'll see,

I have been snooping around online, and several sources actually say to use BLEACH instead, about 4-7 ml per gallon. Is this even possible, I can't understand how bleach wouldn't just kill your plants. Anyone ever done this?
Dude.. just cause you can use it and it wont kill the plants doesnt mean it is good... YOU ARE GONNA SMOKE THIS STUFF MAN!!! :eyesmoke:

But H2O2 is great! I would get a good high grade. And just so you know.. water is H2O Hydrogen peroxide is water with an extra oxygen molecule. You roots LOVE oxygen and it will help keep them rot free.

agreed. dont use the 3% shit from the store or you will use a lot of it. get a gallon of 30% for 30$ give or take 5. i use 2 ml per gallon and sparkly clean roots. no odors at all.

I'm pro H202 but that's not the only viable options. Some are totally against it even in hydro setups preferring beneficial micros instead. I just got accustomed to H202 as it works. I'd try both methods to see what you prefer.

the 3% seems to work just as good, though u do need more, about 15 ml per gallon.

So you use 3 times as much, however it costs about 3.50 a gallon.

So, the results are the same, but I pay about a third, if it takes 3 gallons of the 3% to work as well.

yup. i used it for the first couple weeks. it works, just easier for me, also see a noticeable difference even just a few minutes after the 30%.

The 3% is loaded with crap that extends the shelf life. And sence it is sold as a antiseptic and not intended for human consumption the additives are alowed. Food grade h2o2 is 10% and higher. Shorter shelf life but I use it in a few months anyways. I like the 10% myself run it once every 4 weeks. At 1tsp per 10 gallons. Give me a ppm of around 30. I don't want to get it to hot and Bruno my girls. But my roots are nice and white
