Just wanted to out that out there. Their gear is shit, and their customer service sucks fucking donkey dick. Their God damn distribution center is literally 4 blocks from our warehouse. Can you stop in and explain.. hey this $300 co2 controller lasted 2 weeks.. nope. They wouldn't even open the door!

Took it to the store.. "we have to mail it to them" don't the deliver directly to the store? "Yeah, they are a nightmare to work with"

Three weeks go by and I get "yeah its broken all right and can't be fixed, how about we give you a discount on a new one?" "Wtf... it's under warranty" "we think it may have gotten wet".. " It got wet hanging on the wall in our flower room?"

Seriously, other companies that we have dealt with have been majorly cool. We bought 50 Solis teKS directly from them. 10 blew in the first 3 months. They sent us 10 new ones and 10 new hps bulbs for the trouble.

Rant over. Just wanted to put it out there. There are many gear companies these days and from running a 6,000 Sq ft warehouse I can tell you... shit breaks. ALL the fucking time. You don't want to deal with a company that could honestly give two shits about your issues with their products.

Shit like this is worth putting up. People's opinions can carry a lot of weight...especially their buying power.
Cheers for the heads up! :bigjoint: I'll think twice before dealing with them when there are other companies to deal with... customer service is a big thing in this game

Be sure if you want to pay 500 bucks for their portable a/c 14,000 unit(buy the replacement board and control panel a long with the new a/c unit)or else buy 2 units so you can keep your grow alive.
You will never get the parts in less than 1 month.

I use their 8" "booster type" 420cfm fan for my veg and flower room intake fans. the F'n fan blades shear off for no reason at the base after a few months use. its a solid injection molded plastic part. a single fin always shears off, and make a hella noise to let me know. ive had 3 fan blades destroyed on 1 yr. I got a free replacement from the shop I bought it from. the 1st one got nothing, 3rd one I contacted hydrofarm themselves and sent me out a new blade. I have a reps number if you would like it. direct number iirc. the fan is great for what I need it for, but to constantly have the blades shear apart during use is utter BS!!!!!! I have to keep a back up fan on hand in case I need to swap out a blade when the rooms are going. cant go with out fresh air going in.

Oh, yeah- tell it! They think they own this market with the stranglehold they and Sunlight Supply put on their victims- err, 'Hydro stores'. It's going to get blown wide open and soon they'll be in scramble to catch up mode. Bad customer service will kill you, the only exceptions are monopolies. Cable TV, anyone?

Ummm, time to buy a different fan. Mission critical equipment needs to be reliable and you've wasted too much time on their plastic shit already. Just tryin' to help a brother out.

I can't think of a company in the hydro world that's still around older than Hydrofarm. I've been buying their gear for 20 yrs. I've never experienced horrible customer service from them. Who knows though, maybe because they are from NorCal here, they treat us better? Lol

300 dollar co2 controller? Don't tell me, CAP? If it's old stock CAP, it's to be expected. If it is new stock(made by hydrofarm) that's messed up.
As far as hydrofarms autopilot devices, not too many problems from any one of their devices, and I have allot of them, and I know allot of people with them also.

Maybe try to get ahold of hydrofarm, and not just one of their distribution centers?

Hmmm.... I didn't know Monsatan owned GH, you sure?
I do know that Scotts owns them now. And all I know is that Scotts got into bed with Monsatan over ortho products, but NOT owned by them.
I guess I could be wrong though.

You can buy the controllers straight from China right off Alibaba. I used to build guitars. A lot of them. I bought all the knobs and some pickguards directly from China. Just like Fender. You get an e-mail that it can take up to 5 weeks or some such. It invariably is there in less than 10 days. The only problem is volume required. But look all through or request. I have had many companies supply me AR-15 parts at their cost + S/H by telling them I need samples before I order 5 or 10. Even if you have to buy 5, buy them and sell the other 4. I have done it with room air conditioners from Alibaba. Got 5 room air conditioners for a total cost of $70 each. 6500 BTU. Sold 4 of them for $150 each.
