in post number six FFOF was recommended, and in post ten I recommended vermifire.
We did answer it, and fairly fast too.
doesn't vermifie run hot?. Needs to cooked? I've never used it. I'm just going on what nugbuckets would say about it when he was still on riu. I'm just curious too though..

Vermifire is some good stuff, the BEST bagged soil I've ever seen/used. I personally have run a full harvest with ZERO added to it. It was an experiment, but it's easily done, and I didn't see any deficiencies at all, just a lil smaller yields, probably about 60% of what was normal.
Plus it has volcanic rock which is great for resusable soil, in fact most of my current no till was once vermifire, course I've amended the bejesus out of it...
Great soil though, and it is a lil hot, but only if you throw 4" seedlings in there, I've done freshly rooted clones into it with no problems.
Shits all over FFOF that's for sure, and Roots too.

Thank you very much for all the informative suggestions in this thread. I've made my mind up now and am going to spend a couple hours per day reading about making my own, and whilst this first plant grows through its veg stage in an all purpose organic shop bought soil im going to knock up a batch for the next seed, which will be started when the first plant starts to flower.

Thanks for all the help you guys have given. I knew there was never going to be one straight answer but that's often better cos you get an insight into what people do differently and for what reasons. I hope I didn't cause too much of a headache for you guys.

Due to personal reasons I've had to put it on the back burner for now.
I'm scroggin Indys tho at the min, got sum in veg ready to go in flower room wen new bulbs get here, I'll give them another couple weeks veg under the new bulbs aswell.

I don't do big plants though, each plants footprint is 40cmx40cm.

what you scrogging?
I've just done some barneys farm blue cheese, next run is sweet tooth
