Humidity problems

I got a problem with the humidity dropping too low my plants are in early veg
When it gets hot over 26 degrees the fan kicks and takes the temp down to 25 but the fan also drops to humidity from 70 to 40 until 2 minutes later the humidifier brings the humidity back up bur then that lasts for 5 minutes before the fan kicks back in to drop the temperature whats a solution to this problem.
Ps I'm doing a Hydro grow what temperature should the water be Lights on and lights off ?

Probably need a bigger humidifier 40% is fine mine grow outside in 7%. It's 11% rn also could look at plants and how hard the inline should need to work. Early to mid veg it really isnt needed. In the 3x3 under florescent that really doesn't produce heat I don't run it at all, most times. 4x4 I'll run it low at 1 or 2 until it's needed to regulate heat. Best to try and maintain proper instead of letting it creep up then crank up inline to pull heat.

I used this one ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087CTWPXG?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ) which uses a cool mist so it raises humidity and also drops the temperature a bit. I did have the issue that at times I wanted the temperature to not drop as I needed both up. In those cases, I would drop the speed of my inline fan to increase temperature or maybe even adjust my lights up a tish to raise it if it was extreme. I don't think that normal little breeze fans really do much with temperature IMHO. You mileage may vary. I just pulled the humidifier out actually as at this point I'm needing to keep the humidity down instead of up. That's MUCH easier than the other way. Dehumdifier keeps me in the 50's for now (still in Veg) and temperatures are better than ever now that I don't have that cool mist dropping them. Al this said, you're better off listening to GroBud here as he's helped me through many of these little issues already. I'm just a noob sharing my experiences...

That's kind of you to say, much appreciated. That's why I bring my ass onto these forums. It's all just a learning curve, if we work together everyone wins.

If you're having issues with low humidity more plants will solve that problem every time, that or grow bigger plants that put off more moisture. You're better off adding more light, more plants than paying to blast water into the air.

Are you running a sealed grow or a vented grow? Does the room exhaust to the outside or breathe in from the outside at all?

Its a vented grow and its sucks the air the out rather then blow the air in

You should try and do a sealed room. Treat the air in the room instead of blowing it outside. That is what is drying your room out. Are you able to stay in those temperature ranges without ventilation?? You're wasting your money if your humidifying the room and exhausting the room at the same time.

I found out using these demineralization filters in ultrasonic humidifiers can help prevent calcium deposits in your tent.


After running an ultrasonic humidifier I had white dust on my lights and I think it also clogs the carbon filter

Great question, depending on the room and ambient co2 levels you may need supplementation but I know many people growing in tents without any co2 supplementation with no issues.

When I say "sealed" I mean basically no air being pulled in or out of the room.
