One has a short fat stem looks like the taproot did, it’s kind of white in color And the other one I planted two days later and has passed up the first one and has a purpleish skinny stem. They both look ok to me. I think you are staring at them too much and over thinking it.:bigjoint:

Make sure you poked some holes in the bottom of those cups for drainage.

Have holes & tiny river rocks under soil (habit ) so water don’t rest on the bottom
