One has a short fat stem looks like the taproot did, it’s kind of white in color And the other one I planted two days later and has passed up the first one and has a purpleish skinny stem. I think I may have damaged the taproot on the first one It’s one side is curled under and it’s tiny

They both look ok to me. I think you are staring at them too much and over thinking it.

Make sure you poked some holes in the bottom of those cups for drainage.

Have holes & tiny river rocks under soil (habit ) so water don’t rest on the bottom

Popped another took 10 hrs in paper towel to pop

That's a pretty fast germ. You looked after 10 hours ? Now I'm positive you are checking on your seedlings too much !

So my 1st seed is not growing but it’s not dying either. #2 has pasted #1 and pulling away fast.
