Very nice! Mine doesn't get that much purpling in the leaves. Just a touch here and there in the buds
Mine has always done it. Whether it's hot or cool, doesn't matter. I'm working from a single bean that was a freebie with another order and I've been cloning her since. So, I can't speak to any pheno variables, but this one get purple all the way through. She is a beauty. Gets good reviews from those that smoke as well.

Hello all, anyone have any info on these freebies from HSC Mint Cakes? I popped them and threw them outside to flower 1st week of Oct. I put 1 in the ground and the other 2 were in pots. 2 of them were similar and had a very sour floral rose like smell. The other one smelled like fresh sweet pineapples. They all smoked good and had great flavors but the high wasnt anything special. Just wondering what the lineage or parents are of this strain. Thanks

'Every year at HSC we cross hundreds of genetics for phenohunting and to explore the possibilities of the cannabis genome. It seems that many cannabis breeders are simply making one off crosses and then selling them. For us a cross is just the very beginning of creating a commercial seed line that might become a strain in our catalog. If the cross produces an amazing phenotype or several we capture them in clone form and progress with our process of vetting the genetic, describing, naming and making a uniform seed line over several generations. The reason that these seeds are "freebies" is that we haven't gone through our process of selecting phenotypes and making a strain. You might end up with variation in the plant structure and flower and while that can be annoying, that is how new genetics are discovered. We have hunted through thousands of these crosses and in some cases found amazing things. Regardless we feel like just making crosses and selling them isn't really breeding so we decided to share these simply as a promotional item. If we were to make a description of what you can expect it might be true half the time at most... Basically our Blueberry Muffins will always smell like a Blueberry Muffin but with these crosses... we don't want to just guess. ' -hannahhsc

I'm growing Hella Jelly right now and have Stoopid Fruits seeds in hand.....though I may wait on those til i start the plants for the Summer OD to pop em. The Hellas are 3 weeks in and forming up buds. Not tons going on yet...but I had to comment that yesterday I broke some older fans odd of one of them and was amazed at the funky stank that I got off of her from just doing that. Smelled the leaves...didn't smell green like most strains. Smelled like a bowl of fruit. Can't remember that happening ever to this extent. Could be fun...... will get some pics up soon.

I might need to pop a cpl more seeds and see what I get.

Then I played around after seeing the post from the other day about photographing buds. Quick makeshift studio. I want to work on this more in the future.

No, they took longer the other 2 or 3 grows because there were hiccups along the way. With a happy plant and no bumps.in the road, this is much closer to how long they should run.

The Koolatron is a wine cooler converted to a dry/cure cabinet. Kinda like a $300 Cannatrol instead of $1800.

Hella Jelly...30 days 12/12. First go with HSC seeds. Have 2 of these. This one has slightly larger buds so far but I think the other has a tad more stank.
I've had a few issues and these are some of the strongest looking plants in the tent @ present. Hoping for some terpy goodness here...
