htgsupply taking forever to ship

if you order ballast from them watch them closly as they tend to have missing or loose parts inside. They are known to send ballast missing ignitors or having the cord sets unwired inside. poor quality but your paying for poor quality items so you get what you get. Thier bulbs are infamous for burning out in a short time
I've heard that several times on this forum but with the massive amount of business they do, I think the % of negativeness is very minimal. One thing to their benefit is the awesome customer service they provide. They promptly replace anything under warranty and then some. I got some nutes and one of the bottles leaked a few drops...only enough to make the directions unreadable. I called to ask for the directions and Tony sent me a new bottle. This stuff aint cheap either. I dont think more than 5ml leaked out and I told him that. He still replaced it.

I will say that my items ordered this time last year didnt make it as fast as i'd liked but the ballast and bulbs are still burning strong.

Tony can be good at times but usually not really. i had tried to deal with them few years back but found items always were broken defective mising parts and they never responded to emails or faxes. The phone was always busy so you couldnt call. I have found most the poepl I personally know who have tried htg stop and won't go back. There are much better sources online then htg for sure but if you don;t mind what he sells you then its ok just not me ever again

LOL...you order late on Friday and are knocking on the door one business day later wondering WTF?

Are you used to getting everything you want at that moment in time? HTG aint burger king but they do a dang good job.

This time of year is extremely busy and I wouldnt expect miracles.

Uh, expecting to get what I paid for in a timely fashion is not equivalent to expecting a miracle, smartass. Says on the site that they usually ship within 24 hours so it stands to reason that I expected it to be shipped on Monday - Not Tuesday, not Wednesday, but Monday. That's a perfectly reasonable expectation, fanboi.

Well I have known for months that there is a possibility that I could receive faulty equipment the first go but I've also heard that Tony tries to make it right when that happens. If such ends up being the case, I will be upset initially, but I'll get over it when all is said and done. I had no choice but htgsupply because I just can't afford it at a more expensive price. My medical bills for the month of February exceed $19,000 including my medications. Freaking bills are leeching the shit out of all my funds. I actually had to wait for tax returns to get back just to make this purchse :/

What did you order exactly and what did he charge you. I will offer good quality digital ballast on my site pretty resonable. LED ufos low priced too.

I ordered a 400w hps with heavy duty mechanical timer and some other smaller stuff with it. I think the total was like $195 after shipping. Unfortunately, this year I only got about $370 back from the IRS and thats all I had to spend. I spent most of it on this combined with a 10 pack of feminized Barney's Farm Blue Cheese. Most of what was left after that got spend at home depot and wal-mart on supplies for a perpetual grow. Bought some cfl's, socket adapters, extension cords, nutrients, a clear plastic bin to keep clones in as they root, electronic ph meter, and rooting hormone.

My plan is to take 6 cuttings from vegging plants every 3 weeks, move those plants into flowering room under 400w hps, root clones for 2 weeks in cabinet under 4 cfls (800 lumens each), veg for 1 week, then take more clones from cuttings and move the best 3 into the flowering room.

With this setup I'll have 9 plants under the 400w at any given time. 3 will be about 1ft tall, 3 mid-sized (maybe 2 ft), and 3 will be around 3ft and in the latter stages of flowering. If I can make it work, I can produce anywhere from 4-6 ounces every 3 weeks. Maybe even a little more as I become more experienced.

Sound workable? Of course, the whole plan is reliant on this 400w system lol! I've known alot of people that said that while htg's stuff is not really ideal, it's often workable and workable is all I need right now. Growing pot under tubes has proven to be a real waste of electricity and my harvests aren't lasting so I'm ending up without for a few weeks in between harvests. I'm still nervous about this whole thing though without any first hand experience with htg I'm really not sure what to expect. I just know that there is at least a %75 chance I'll be alright. All in all, the mess-ups prob total at under %25 of their customers. Maybe even less than %10. So while those odds aren't ideal, they're still favorable.

as long as that 400 watt setup is digital as thats kinda high for a 400 watt setup and I know htg sells a ton of the old inefficient magnetic 2 ton ballast. If its magnetic then got way over charged

If you wanted it so fast, go pick it up somewhere. Their site clearly says they are closed on Mondays and dont open until 11 on tuesday. Your bitching at 10:21am on Tuesday and they are still not even open.

I expect timely service too especially when I pay good money but I'm smart enough to look at the store hours before I go whining to the world about something.

But this is an open forum and you are entitled to your own opinion but please refrain from personal attacks and name calling. It can get you banned and above all else shows immaturity.

Anyone else have problems like this from htgsupply? This is the first time that I have ordered from them but I've heard horror stories about people having to wait 2 weeks just for them to ship. Not cool at all and if thats how this is going to go I won't be doing business with them again.
same thing happened to me but they upgraded my WHOLE unit. it was still a 250W HPS but it had 7,500 more lumens and 30% added blue spectrum, $100's for waiting an extra 2 days he he.
Oh and it also has the precut 4 inch flange wholes but they have louvers over them till I use them. All in all I love them, they COULD have called me and let me have a clue as to what was going on but I lived he he.

I bought some CFL's from HTG and they were shipped out the next day. Buy there items on there eBay store because I'm sure they will worry about getting bad feedback and having a bad reputation.

It's no more a personal attack than snide remarks insulting my intelligence or common sense. More blatant? Yes, but they are both personal attacks.

I'm smart enough to look at stores hours too and while it says their PHYSICAL locations are closed on Monday, it does not say that they don't ship on Mondays. If you were smart you'd take the fact that they take calls on Mondays into account instead of popping off like an internet tough guy. It's common sense that if they're taking calls on Monday that also means that they're likely processing internet orders on Mondays too.

I've seen far more blatant attacks and flame wars erupt on this site without a ban, so while you may be wishing that'd be the result of my calling you out, fortunately, you have little control over that process kthx.

I ordered a 400 watt hps and it took me a week to get it. The bulb broke an hour after I set it up, I called Tony and he emailed me a UPS label, once I called them with a tracking# they overnighted me a new bulb....I would def order from them again. They are very easy to deal with.

The grow in the link in my signature was all grown with products purchased from htgsupply.com and after looking at that I think it would be hard to say that they suck. I also received my orders from them in 2 days. Placed the order on a Tuesday, got the packages on Thursday. This is the light I bought from them and I upgraded to the 1000 watt Sunmaster bulb:
