Is one better then the other for veg stage? I have a switchable and am curently useing the MH. Just wondering if the hps would have better results?
Dont get me wrong here,I was talking about having to choose between one or the other. If you have the option of both, by all means use 'em! I just have never been a fan of either dual arc or conversion bulbs simply because of the loss of lumens you get.Yea thats true...HPS blows my eyes out. I wear glasses in my flower room..lol..Thanks for the info..Ill stick with the MH
Like others I have used both types for both stages of growth. If I can only use one it's HPS. As a matter of fact I have a 1000 watt HPS for 12/12 and due to some enthused planting have more than fit under it. So I have the remainder under a 400 watt MH. Those in the periphery of both lights tend to lean toward the HPS during flower.Sorry to rob this thread but I have a question of a similiar nature. I am vegging with a metal halide 600w conversion bulb. Seem s very week. I have a lumen meter and that conversion bulb just doesnt quite have it. I could triple my lumen output if I put my HPS bulb in. This is my vegg room. My flower room is a 1000hps. Please and thank you.
